Phil Scott touched on this yesterday.
Basically saying that, when it's something positive, black immigrants claim to be anything but black:
Somali...........Dominican.........Haitian........etc.
However, when one of them does something negative...........they don't keep the same energy.
Instead of putting those negative connotations on their group...........now all of a sudden the people who commit certain atrocities are black.
Not Dominican or Haitian or Somali or whatever...........but black.

Someone saying they don't need a man for romantic/financial reasons isn't the same as saying they don't want any sort of protection if they're attacked in public. Those are 2 completely different things.

I hear you on that, but part of having a man is that he will protect you; it's not just financial or romantic in nature, it's all encompassing or at least it's supposed to be. Some of these new dudes ain't really built for all of that.

This reeks of the Terry Crews situation. What happened was wrong and isn't justified but it happened to YOU because of your energy. The white man who groped him isn't going around doing that to every black man he sees, he did that to Terry Crews and only Terry Crews
I understand and agree with that. Especially about some of these younger dudes. I just think taking the idea of a woman saying she doesn't feel she needs a man for dating or financial reasons means she's saying she also doesn't want anyone to stop someone from attacking her. It basically is admitting to the idea that a man would only see a woman he has potential to or is already fucking as worthy. And that's just not an idea I think young Black women or young Black men should grow up seeing each other as.
