Don’t matter what they consider. Some folks consider the world flat. Some folks consider saying you’re a women makes you women. Being wrong is being wrong.

being a jew is not a race but a ethnic group. It’s really that simple.

I addressed this earlier. I said it doesn’t matter what the Nazi’s considered those white Jews. The fact of the matter was that they were white. Just like old cacs in slave times didn’t consider black people humans but subhuman. It didn’t matter that they thought blacks weren’t humans black people are human.

Of course it matters. If we're talking about the reason for the Holocaust itself, then it's clear the Nazis felt Jews were a race and wanted them exterminated

Because the person who did it viewed them as a separate race. What we say 65 years later means what? And the other groups that were killed like the Roma do you consider them white?
 
The idea is that the NAZI's viewed the JEWS as another RACE! This is why the Jewish Holocaust is considered RACISM. Not that hard to understand even though in today's world and place we view them as a ethnicity and religion. But not in the eyes of NAZI GERMANY and their views was quite different. So yes, she is WRONG in the HISTORICAL CONTEXT. If you get out of your current ideology about race and ethnicity then you will see why Whoopi was wrong, but she didn't need to suspended over this. She wasn't malicious, hateful, spiteful, wicked, or anything of that, but just ill informed about the subject and most Americans would have thought the same thing especially black people. We are culturally intertwined with racial ideas of America, not in Europe at the earlier 1900's let alone 1800's.

Again. It don’t matter what somebody viewed another person as because that don’t make it true.

But he did view white people as white. Just not the white oriole he like due to cultural and economic differences which falls under ethnic group and not race.

No, it's not. Their views of race was quite different in the early 1900's. Because you know biologically race doesn't exist, but consequences of actions of people assaulting based on preconceive notions of race no matter how weird they are it still racism.
