The great thing with comedy is the more you joke and laugh about something the more you normalize it.

Chappelle is a smart as dude. Im pretty sure he understands that and some of his lgbtq jokes are aimed for that reason. To get a laugh and normalize it at the same time.

The issue is alot of comedians aint that smart. Some of these mfers say some fucked up shit just cause its funny without a deeper reason behind it.

So with that said it depends it kind of depends on the motive behind the joke.

Me personally, I can laugh at shit I dont agree with but if I feel a mfer going too far I wont get back to his/her specials.
