Black people dog out and demean each other wholesale. It ain't just some black men dragging Black women or some Black women dragging Black men: We're doing it to each other and it's been illustrated very clearly in this thread.

If a man or woman wants to go abroad to find what they deem to be marriage material, so be it. There was a whole TV show on Black women that went to Rome to find love 'cause apparently there ain't no American Black men "on their level" and it was perfectly fine. That rhetoric, somehow, wasn't supposed to be seen as a slight to Black American men even though it truly is. Black women applauded them RHOA chicks for running out finding rich African men to wife 'em up and that was fine but no one said "Wasn't any rich brothas from here you could have married???". Many of y'all in this very thread have talked down on these dudes as well calling them lames, etc. Y'all don't see that as problematic but they're saying what effectively amounts to the same thing towards Black women is?

How about we stop tearing each other down for a change? And if a man or woman makes the decision to find a spouse abroad, and they're truly happy with whomever they found, can't we simply be happy for him or her??? Do we HAVE to know why they did it??? There's that whole adage "What you eat don't make me shit" that applies here: Why they did it has no bearing on any of us, just let them be happy. It's when you ask them "why" that you get answers you don't want to hear and begin to call them out for being "lame" for their reasons.

If males figure American females aren't fulfilling them, what's the issue of outsourcing a spouse that will? All this says to me is that females once again are showing how they can't handle rejection.

All I'll say is that this shit has the potential to backfire once these foreign jawns get a taste of American women life, and become the very women these dudes were trying to get away from.

Black Americans that rise above their station designated for them, deserve to go fulfill their ambitions and that means they have to leave because there are no Black institutions to facilitate it.

There's thousands of Black Americans that exist in a sort of cultural or racial exile because they don't wanna deal with the bullshit.

I got a silly TRUE story

A while ago I was working with this super awkward guy whose mother was from Costa Rica and his dad was a white Male from America. Dude has a polish last name and an accent, which always made people think his accent was due to being polish. No, dude spoke fluent Spanish and every time he talked to his mom or brother they would argue in Spanish. Like everytime he talked to his mom they argued in Spanish. lmao.

Anyway, this guy had a thing for anime and Japanese culture something serious. When he found out I had lived in Japan he would always talk to me about Japan and how he loved Asian women and especially Japan. This guy would always say stupid shit like he wanted a traditional Japanese girl and would always ask how are Japanese women. I literally told him what I said above about people are people, no matter where you are and it isn't a set way the ladies overall act. He always would try and play me like I didn't know what I was talking about. Lol.

So, one spring I decided to go visit some Japanese homies I had kept in touch with over the years, including a lady friend. He decided to come also. I went a few days beforehand and when he came in me and the chick I was kicking it with went to the airport to pick him up. This dude was amazed at how she carried herself and talked. He couldn't believe she wasn't meek and whatever stereotype he had conjured up. He tried to holla at a few ladies and got shot down badly a d he took the vacation time without letting our job know and ended up being told to come back or he would get Into trouble or fired. LMAO. dude spent all that money to go out there and was only there for a day and a half and didn't get any play. LMAO

He learned the hard way that people are people and not a stereotype. He ended up finding a Japanese lady on a dating website many years later. She moved out to be with him and he was afraid to break up with her. He told me that she was mentally and physically abusing him........ dude was literally afraid of this tiny Japanese lady and wouldn't break up with her out of fear! We lost contact so I don't know what happened with that relationship, but it's funny how things go

I hear what you're saying. I can't really fault the dudes that make that second statement though. A couple of my homeboys are at that point. You can tell them they are bashing black women when they say shit like that, but they don't look at it as bashing black women. To them, they are just speaking their truth. I tell them all the time that not all black women are like that, but my words will never override their experiences. The same goes for women. I've had women tell me they hate running into black men because they feel like black men will get violent or disrespectful if shot down. I can tell those chicks that not all black men are like that, but they don't give a shit because the few that were like that have already poisoned their outlook. It's messed up all around.

Happened to my old landlord.

Older white cat, went to the Philippines to teach English and came back to MI with a Filipino wife. They had a son together and she did the usual stay-at-home wife thing. That is, until, some of the neighbor broads started taking her out with them. Now she's at the club, bars, events and getting noticed by younger men. After a while, the English teacher ain't good enough and they got to arguing and shit. She wanted to get a job and make her own money instead of relying on him for everything. She wanted her own car, her own everything. One day he came home and all her clothes and other shit was cleared out. She left his ass AND her son 'cause she got a taste of American life and wanted more.

One of the first things most folks ask if you present a foreign spouse is "Why'd you go looking overseas?" and that's where it all goes downhill 'cause now if you got a foreign spouse, you feel like you gotta justify why you went out and did it.
