Its mostly because they use current events as the top spot/spots because its fresh on peoples mind. Not because it was actually the best. I dont think whoever is doing them is making them personal, i think WWE tells them pretty much what they want in certain spots.

Another AEW/ROH performer may be on the outs with CEO and head writer Tony Khan, after appearing to be very upset with him backstage at tonight's 'Death Before Dishonor' event. Tony Khan purchased ROH in March of this year, with intentions of bringing the company back to it's former glory after seeing a major downturn after the controversial 'Bullet Club' exodus changed the company for the worse. Those same members of Bullet Club would go on to help Tony Khan form AEW, and be heavily featured on their television upon its inception. The creation of AEW, along with the pandemic, had caused the company to shutter their doors for many months in a limbo period before Khan's purchase. Gresham was said to be accepting of the acquisition, as a new lease on life for the "Code of Honor" company. 'Supercard of Honor' happened a month later, the first PPV event under the AEW umbrella came with Gresham successfully defending his title. However his main event win was overshadowed by an angle involving Jay Lethal and a debuting Samoa Joe. In the post-show media scrum, Gresham sat beside Khan, and both seemed excited to work together and grow the ROH brand back to where it used to be.

However, as the weeks rolled on, the world champion would only appear sporadically on AEW television, despite Khan promising to showcase ROH talent on the "big brand" in between PPV events. Then rumblings began, that the CEO wasn't exactly impressed with Gresham's size, or chops on the microphone, despite loving his technical style of wrestling. Gresham would then be pivoted into a heel role, turning two weeks ago on AEW secondary show 'Rampage'. There appeared to be no build or storyline, as well as the puzzling reveal that he had joined Tully Blanchard's new stable 'Tully Blanchard Enterprises', one that included another talent that was cast aside within AEW, Brian Cage.

Tony Khan admitted in the post-show scrum tonight that former WWE talent Claudio Castagnoli was always planned to be a surprise opponent for Gresham, and he was always meant to win the title. An injury to Bryan Danielson, forced Khan to pull his trump card early on a recent AEW PPV 'Blood and Guts'. However Gresham has been very vocal, even as recent as this week, stating he has barely spoken to Tony Khan since his acquisition of ROH. He would elaborate saying he has no idea what Khan thinks of him as a talent, nor has he spoken to him about plans for him moving forward. Khan ended his interview alongside new champion Castagnoli, not mentioning Gresham's name once. Those close to Gresham said he was extremely frustrated to be shifted into a stable, a stable that has only lasted a couple of months before being "bought out" tonight by returning ROH talent Prince King Nana. Blanchard, of Four Horsemen fame, did not even appear on the show.

Following the world title match, which opened the show, Gresham was said to be very upset with his lack of storyline involving dropping the title to Castagnoli, as well as the lack of communication from Khan on the exact plans for the title change in the weeks leading up to the event. He apparently left shortly after his match, offering little explanation or goodbyes on his way out of the arena. Gresham and Khan also did not exchange any words backstage from the time Gresham came back behind the curtain, to the time he left. Gresham has now deactivated his twitter, further lending credence that he was unhappy with some creative aspect of his title drop tonight.
i could see Gresham following his wife to Impact tbh.

During his podcast on PWTorchVIP.com, Wade Keller discussed Stephanie McMahon’s relationship with her brother Shane…

“I’m told Stephanie definitely has ideas. This is a job she has coveted since she was barely a teenager, maybe a preteen. I’ve told the story quite a bit over the years [about] Stephanie, and Jerry Jarrett told me the story on record that he was having dinner with the McMahon’s and either he or someone at the table said, ‘Shane, you know, someday you’re going to be running the company like your dad.’ And Stephanie was years younger than Shane, established her Alpha attitude. She jumped in and said, ‘Uh uh, daddy’s little girl is going to be the one running the show someday not Shane.’ That rivalry has been there. The divide between those two, I’m told, is still there. And there is no reconciliation or power sibling team expected.”

“It’s like, you know, the siblings hang out, they yell, they battle and they double cross each other, but they hang out. And they talk. And the impression I’m getting is that’s not happening with Shane and Stephanie. So, by the way, don’t expect Shane to enter the picture here unless he just, you know, goes rogue and just shows up at a show…”

Keller also commented on Stephanie’s relationship with Paul Heyman…

“He ran ECW, he revolutionized the wrestling industry. Without him there is no Attitude Era, I don’t think. And then he has worked with WWE and he butted heads with Stephanie McMahon. As I’ve talked about in recent months, it seems like to people that have seen them that Heyman and Stephanie get along. You know like, genuinely, there’s a chemistry and a dynamic between them that’s very positive. And that’s very different than you know, 15-20 years ago. So, Heyman is someone to watch. He’s really, really smart. And he is a wrestling guy.” (quotes courtesy of WrestlingNews.co)
