Tokyo Sports
is reporting
that GIULIA, who PWInsider.com reported WWE had strong interest in back in November 2023 is leaving STARDOM and actually informed the promotion of her plans at the end of 2023. GIULIA's current deal expires in March.

Sources in Japan confirmed to PWInsider.com last year that WWE was attempting to court the current New Japan Strong Women's Champion, hoping to sign her to the company.

Giulia first debuted for the Ice Ribbon promotion back in 2017 after training under Mio Shirai. She debuted for World Wonder Stardom in 2019, announced at the time as signing with the promotion. She has been one of the centerpiece talents for the promotion, having captured the World of Stardom Championship, the Wonder of Stardom title and the Goddess of Stardom Championship. She wa a member of Donna del Mondo with Thekla and Mai Sakura until that group was disbanded.

Beyond her incredible in-ring work, Giulia has an absolutely amazing level of charisma and poise, so it's a no-brainer that WWE would want her. Giulia was expected at the WWE Performance Center for a visit in November 2023, with the company planning to bring Simon Inoki in for the visit to assist her but the plans were later canceled.

STARDOM, like New Japan Pro Wrestling, is owned by Bushiroad, which has set the stage for Giulia making several appearances for New Japan Pro Wrestling, including winning the New Japan Strong Women's Championship., which she currently holds holds Giulia became the second champion after defeating Willow Nightingale. Last year, she worked the Multiverse United 2 event promoted by NJPW and Impact Wrestling in Philadelphia.

I thought she was gonna stay wit the dude who left Bushiroad to help start his own promotion?

All WWE is gonna do is dumb her down. Her style is too "aggressive" for them women. I think AEW would benefit her better. B/c that women's division still needs a jolt. I mean slowly but surely they're getting there. But a talent like her would do wonders for that company and that roster.

Agree for sure. This is the part where AEW shaping up their womens division nicely.

Had Nash & Hall never jumped to WCW the Attitude Era might of happened sooner. They were already testing the waters with Goldusts early character & Nash himself when he was a tweener. WCW might of sank faster had they never went there. They were still doing corny 80’s Hogan shit up to them debuting.
