That sucks for Melo. At this point if WWE isn't using you, you're kinda screwed. AEW isn't a real alternative if you want anything beyond a check. AEW doesn't allow the creative space to reinevent yourself to a point where WWE regrets letting you go. Swerve did it well, but that's it. Everyone else just gets lost in the shuffle. Add to that the lack of indie circuit to build any steam and its safe to say pro wrestling is in a bit of a funk. The talent pool is great, but WWE only has room for one storyline at a time, AEW is mostly exhibition matches, Japan is Japan, and both RoH and PWG are kinda dead.
At this point AAA may be the best booked wrestling show on TV. How is Melo's Spanish? I could see him doing well there.
