I'll assume this is directed towards me and even it's not, I'ma respond anyway

I said MONTHS ago this was gonna be a movie I saw with my daughter so this ain't the gotcha you think it is

With that said, without repeating what's been already emphasized, this movie was just ok

Definitely feels like a lot of shit was cut out but I really would've liked to have seen more of Carol and Monica's relationship unfold. I thought the montage of flashbacks in the beginning went by too fast. You really don't get a sense of how much time has passed and how Monica developed her initial resentment towards Carol.

The villain was forgettable. Again, could've used better flashbacks but it felt mad rushed and kinda thrown together. This is certainly not the worst film of phase 5 as long as Love and Thunder exist but it is pretty forgettable imo

Didn't watch secret invasions but I agree about the villain and Carol's timeline being messy. I was expecting Carol to be the one to sacrifice herself and not Monica but wasn't bothered by it. The young avengers story did come out of nowhere but it was fine for me as an mid credit scene. The rest didn't bother me
