Goddamn this movie was ass.

Writing was shit, fighting sequences was shit, the singing shit was shit... There was actually two parts where I laughed and I genuinely can't remember what they were. I just know I laughed at something... twice.

The best thing about this shit was the end credits with ole girl waking up in the X Men's spot. And, they could prolly work on making costumes for thick sistas, both Breonna's and Lashana Lynch's costumes look like they're trying to hide that sista thickness and were doing a terrible job of it.

I have no reason to ever watch this bullshit ever again unless Marvel hard ties some important shit to it in order to force people to watch it.

Damn, you thought the fighting sequences were shit? I thought the power switching and coordination was well choreographed. Crazy.

Most of that shit looked slow and deliberate. And since this happened immediately after the end of the Ms Marvel series, when did Kamala have time to learn to fight like that??? She barely had a grip on her power.

We can agree to disagree about how it looked.

I'm not really sure I get the criticism of Kamala's fighting though. She didn't do anything crazy in the movie. I don't believe this happened the day after Ms. Marvel ended. We can probably assume that she's been doing some street level crime fighting since the end of her series. I'm not sure how what we see in this movie is any different than what happened with Spiderman. He instantly went from handling petty anty shit street thugs to holding his own against seasoned soldiers and superheroes with no one having any problems.

They literally recreated the scene when they switched places at the end of Ms Marvel. That's how the movie started; it picks up at the end of her show 100% and goes from there.

Spiderman has brute strength, superhuman agility and reflexes, and his spidey sense tying all of that together on his side. By the time he meets Tony in Civil War, he'd already been active as Spiderman for a few months. He's in a whole different league than Ms Marvel off rip. In fact, in the fight in Civil War Spiderman was either the strongest or second strongest in the fight (only Vision would have been stronger). It's kinda easy to see how he would be able to handle his own against less capable heroes.

Those things aside, The writing was suuuuuuuuuuuuuper lazy. I would have expected a longer and far more tense exchange between Carol and Monica, and that shit at the end where Monica talmbout some "I always knew this was a one way ticket" or whatever the fuck she said was galactically stupid considering Dar-Benn opened the rift only minutes before they realized what it was and that they had to close it. No, she didn't "always know", the writers were just out of ideas so they stuck that in there. Oh, and if you go back and re-watch everything from Kamala using both bands to the very end, they basically forgot that she has them both now. She's only wearing one for the remainder of the flick with no explanation for that whatsoever. Sloppy as shit.

The movie really is forgettable.
