PLAYSTATION Final Fantasy XVI

This shit is pushing my limits on how long I can pay attention to a cutscene before mentally tuning out. We're getting into metal gear solid territory.
 
At least it's not the old days where you have to read everything being said.

At least back then you could press the button to keep it moving.

I will say at least they had the decency to allow for pausing during cutscenes.

but this shit so far has been like

walk down a path... cutscene
fight a few guys... cutscene
boss fight... cutscene
go up some stairs... cutscene
fight some more guys... cutscene... back to the same fight

all with a bunch of tutorial question marks constantly interrupting my flow and combat basically consisting of spamming a couple of buttons.

Hopefully now that I'm past a pivotal point in the story they'll let me branch out a little and get loose but right now I feel like I paid 70 bucks for a mildy interactive movie.
 
I will say. I understand now why they probably shied away from using black ppl how much the story is tied to slaves. Enjoying it thus far.

Seen a post above. Can't wait to upgrade the dog if possible. Also combat is truly satisfying. Though idk I guess I'm cheating. Using the extra Gil and exp charms with the one that let you know you about to he hit and press R1.

Those not using it do you still get that window? If so can ditch it for more offense
 
Not sure it changes later but small but major gripe is not being to able to actually 'run' unless in 'open' world. They need to make that an l3 button press. Wanna take it away during story moments and/or around enemies im cool with that. But I don't want to hear any other excuse. Hopefully patched later on.

And I'm talking bout running when you get that extra wind
