Donovan McNabb says if Troy Aikman is in the Hall of Fame, he should be, too

That’s saying something considering that the Eagles were a primarily a run first team. Warner had more weapons.

To me it just shows Warner could have easily passed McNabb's numbers. He just was given less shots. Mcnabb was QB purgatory. Too good to replace, but not good enough to give you what you wanted.

Yall can throw in his rushing. He's still nowhere near the HOF imo. For his top 5 seasons, give yards - TD - Completion %.... you can include his rushing numbers in yards and TD's.

4,000 yards is one solid season, or 2 terrible seasons. So with about 3 seasons of attempts, I'd say easily.

He had to play on the Arena league 2-3 years, then the Rams sent him to Europe to play, then he was 3rd string in STL for a year, then only got to start the following year because the 1st string QB tore his ACL in the pre-season...then Warner had an MVP season. Those 5 previous years are him not getting a shot. Then that weird period in Arizona where they were bouncing between him and Leinart.

If it was that easy he would’ve done it and you can’t talk about injuries as if McNabb didn’t have injuries too.

He can't do it, if he isn't given a chance to play. He was 28 before he got to play. He instantly won MVP, a SB, a SB MVP, and threw the 3rd most TD's in a season (at the time).

I didn't say anything about him getting injured.

How about the years when he was putting up 9 TD seasons? That wasn’t his shot?

That was after he missed all those seasons. Warner is a HOF'er and deserves to be. Mcnabb isn't seeing him. Comparing a 2 time MVP and SB champ to an average passer that has people looking to his rushing numbers to save him.

The Eagles never had more run plays than pass play during the McNabb/Reid era (1999-2009) there was a few seasons close to 50%/50% but Reid has always loved throwing the ball...

I think people missing the main point. It's not about who's better. It's about who has a case for the HOF. Aikman does. Mcnabb doesn't. If whatever you're saying about Mcnabb isn't some HOF consideration achievements...it doesn't matter.

You forgot to say “in your opinion”
