It's funny his daughter kinda explained the scenario that people are complaining about

Her dad is a racial profiteer/one trick pony but the other guy is more "diverse" even though he's mostly done shows that are about white people

No one want to have the convo but colorism goes both ways.. along with people retreating to the most ignorant stereotypes and passing it off as "authentic blackness" the ignorance is something else.. but if you try to bring up that bit of colorism some jackass will bring up "privilege" which is stupid as fuck given the context

I said they are black. And I said why some people have an issue with a very light skin cast for a show called black af. I don’t think nobody is saying light skin people aren’t black. But don’t black families come in all shades

you mean like when people say light skin tears and shit how they may not have as hard as say a darker skin black person. And it probably is very annoying if you just random light skin person and you gotta hear that shit.

Cape Verdean shit is confusing. When I went to Boston I thought it was some country in Caribbean didnt know if was off the coast of Africa. I think they deep in New England area

Some black families are and some aren't. Maybe this one isn't as dark brown as you wanted. His own family ain't even dark.
