21 Savage says Nas isn’t relevant

🤔🤔🤔
That can't be the case if he's selling as much or right around what the younger artist are selling. He outsold Ross, G herbo, meg and kendricks side project baby keem. If that demo that you say he appeals too buying or streaming music he's relevant. Are you saying you only matter if kids are playing your music ??

Hip Hop is youth culture, it's for kids and young adults. Yes if you appealing to 40 year olds with kids and mortgages you are not relevant.

If your fanbase got a 401K, you ain't really making an impact in the genre.

Ross isn't relevant.

G-Herbo isn't relevant.

Baby Keem is only relevant due to Kendrick getting him that Grammy for Family Ties.

Meg has had 5 top 10 albums back to back and she's in her prime.

The relevant new guard male rappers out right now is Playboi Carti, Yeat, Jack Harlow, NBA YoungBoy, Lil Uzi Vert and NBA Young Boy is the king of them all right now, with Jack Harlow and Carti behind him.

Then you have the current guard with Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Future, Young Thug, J.Cole, 21 Savage, Tyler the Creator, Travis Scott and Migos trying to stay relevant.

Nas is a legacy artist coasting off past accomplishments.

Hanging out playing chess and a pick up game in NYC Parks will let you know what these kids listen to.

It WAS a young man's game. Lol that current guard trying to stay relevant. It's over for the migos respectfully.
Nas ain't rapping like he costing 😆. Hiphop the only genre with a cap. Sad shit 🤔now that I think about it, it's just us in general. If you don't have a major label backing you the sheep cast you away.
These old r&b dudes still making music and it gets ignored. When all the current dudes sound the same🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

Rap isn't the only genre with a cap.

Popular culture is for young people in general. Everybody has their season of relevance and they move on.

It's just old rappers complain about it the most because rappers in general are whiny and end up broke since the genre is young and they believe are the equivalent of the Beatles or Grateful Dead or Rolling Stones.

America, Hip Hop music and Black Americans are in general are very young compared to other national cultures and nations. We are very aggressive at getting to the next new thing. We are culture that celebrates youth more than anything else. If we didn't we wouldn't been to about 6 new genres of music within 50 years. We would be stuck on Jazz still.

Lol, like do you think the damn Rolling Stones and Kiss are revelant to White popular music in 2022?

Lol if you asked any White 22 year male old right now who his favorite artist is, it'll probably be Drake, Lil Uzi Vert or Playboy Carti or Travis Scott or Post Malone or one of the new HyperPop artists like 100 gecs. It wouldn't even be a Rock artist.

It's okay to become irrelevant, everyone that shoots for the stars and land on the moon will have their moment in sun and when it's over it's over.
