It doesn't matter when the right decision is made so long as it's made. I mean, how come we can't look at it like, "She decided not to waste her youth on a borderline retard rapper and give a man of God a chance because it's stupid as fuck to keep auditioning to be the wife of a guy who wouldn't commit when he was a Regular Joe let alone a world famous rapper."
I could see if she pulled a Janet Jackson and went and married a billionaire Muslim, started wearing burkahs after talking about how she didn't like her restricted upbringing only to get involved in a more restricted lifestyle, and then divorce the dude a day after a $500 million dollar prenup kicked in. That's clearly a money move. Marrying an old super rich rapper and giving up your prime? That's questionable too.
Two people about the same age, meeting, and getting together? We have fallen so far that this is borderline madness to think possible?
As for who the leaders are, that's a different discussion. What's attractive/leadership material versus what isn't is dictated by flash. I can't come up to you in a 3-piece suit telling you about staying in school when I make a 100K a year, not broadcasting all the women I have, or taking pictures with money. I can't lead you with no flash in this community; people called Obama soft because he didn't get the strap every time someone tried to disrespect or did. No one understands how powerful and strong a person is to have self-control of that nature. Meanwhile, a dude stunting, bragging about his hoes, wearing Gucci on top of Fendi, etc. with fake jewelry claiming to be making 100k a month "who niggas don't fuck with 'cause he gangsta" is down the block. Fuck niggas flash men don't.
However, being a man is viewed as corny.
Literally, the only manly thing that's viewed any type of way respectable is what used to be female tendencies: if you have flash out rages, "beat a nigga's ass" every time your feelings are hurt, and wave guns, that's manly. Meanwhile, women who've experienced those "men" enough know what it gets them: alone. Look at Kevin Gates situation for an example...
That's the overarching problem. Thirty or forty years ago, a nigga like Russell would've been the ideal husband: church going, well-spoken, and financially stable. Every time the church doors opened, Sister So and So would have baked him 15 different pies, asked him to fix her son's flat tire, and some more while spilling tea on herself at the table and snatching her shirt off without thinking to stop it from staining. Dudes like Future would've went to prison, learned a trade, and came home trying to be like Russ to get some pussy. Now it's the opposite. You have perfectly capable smart young black men giving up freedom to be Future/a trapper because being a well-spoken man makes you a corny-ass pussy. Wow.
