In the instance with the young man in TN the officer used the same "I had to save someone's life" to justify shooting someone who had a weapon and the gun went off. So I wanted to see if some of yall would give that same reasoning the same defense

Bruh, I don't know if that cop thought he was saving a life or was just happy that a weapon was present so he could kill a black person and feel justified. Both are possibilities given what we know about cops.
All I can say for sure is that this isn't a case where a suspect was unarmed or trying to cooperate. The person that was shot was in the process of trying to stab someone. There are screenshots in this very thread where the chick was like a foot away from the other person with the knife raised. It should not be controversial to say that this case is different from some of the others and that the shooting may be justified based on established police protocol. Saying that doesn't believe that we think the cop is good or made the best decision.
Im not saying you think the cop is good. Just comparing the shared "i was trying to save a life" reasoning that were given.

Well, I'll tap out of that part of the discussion because I don't believe the cop had heroic motivations or anything like that. At best, he was acting on instinct and did what came natural based on his training.
I do agree with you about the new video though. It seems like he could have made an effort to restrain her when he first saw the knife instead of going for the gun.
Both situations have given the same justification for the shootings. Both involved weapons and both involved perceived threats of danger in a close proximity. Both involved officers being called due to reported acts of violence and then encountering someone with a weapon that gets seen by the officer and being used for immediate harm...They're not all that dissimilar.

Some of these comparisons are just apples and oranges and aren't worth debating. Unless, your example has a cop deciding not to kill a suspect that is in the process of committing a potentially deadly assault against another person, it's probably not apt since that's the key component to this case.

Then all bets are off if that's proven to be the case. I haven't read anything that supports she was greeted with knives but this also speaks to a larger point about different versions of the same event when emotions are high.
If they all had knives, that will be easy to prove just as easy as it is to prove she may have been the only one with a knife
