It did really open that realm where rappers, entertainers and video directors could cross over to the big screen in leading big budget roles.
And before you say pac he crossed over from acting into rap.
2pacalypse Now came out before Juice.

He was acting well before he got into music. That's common knowledge.
Been knew that. Just wanted to be sure that is where you were coming from.
He became famous from his music first before ever acting in a big film though.
Mos Def was an actor as well but became famous from music before being in a few big movies.
I disagree with your statement cause I look at it from the standpoint of what they got famous for first which is music regardless of them acting as kids but never being known for being actors.
@illestni99ainne ....I never knew ya username was “illest nigga in Nebraska”!!! Makes perfect sense now but I’ve always mentally just said “illest 99999’s” or some shit lmao

I'm very curious to see the reactions to those two movies. Lmao
havent seen 3 yet

what's the next movie in the series
Can’t get into the office motherfuckers at my job be having entire events dedicated to that show I can t relateI know you said hood movie but The Departed is mediocre af :shrug2:
Poetic Justice is trash.
The Office is corny.
i got more hol up.
I know some folks are claiming in here that they don't judge movies on a curve but I (and everybody who is honest) honestly do.
I can't honestly compare a movie like John Wick to something like Pulp Fiction. Even if both can kind of fall into the action genre one has a way better story and fleshed out (in one film I might add, lmao.) characters and an actual hint of suspense while the other is a straight popcorn shoot me up flick.
Belly is far from a Cinematic masterpiece and lord know it has a ton of flaws but I can't compare it to bigger budget action films in good conscience. If properly rated means it was a watchable film with some redeemable qualities that wasn't a complete train wreck then it's properly rated.
You shouldn't compare the two.
One IS an action movie and the other is a drama.
John Wick is more comparable to the Bond and Bourne films
While Pulp Fiction is more comparable to a Goodfellas or Departed
Synopsis:
Ever since they were kids, Sincere (Nas) and Buns (DMX) have lived life close to the edge, doing whatever it takes to survive. As adults, they build up their kingdom of crime on drug dealing and robbery. But Sincere grows weary of the criminal lifestyle and joins a black Muslim religious group. Buns, on the other hand, sinks deeper into criminality and faces serious prison time. The cops offer him a deal, however -- assassinate the head of the Muslim group, and he will go free.
