Welcome To aBlackWeb

TikTok is urging users to call Congress about a looming ban to 170 million Americans of their Constitutional right to free expression

So do you guys that are opposed to this ban think there is no mal intent on the part of TikTok and how it’s presented in the US?

Isn’t it funny that TikTok in China shows kids STEM content and history content and in the US it’s funny videos and worse?

And I hear people saying they will show the other side of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, but let’s not act like it doesn’t also show a lot of nonsense.

Just to be clear, I’m against all social media. For me this is just a step in the right direction. I doubt it will go much further, but TikTok got these kids especially in a stranglehold that’s different than other platforms.

Its all algorithm games. China and TikTok just got a different but similar algo. They all feeding people what they wanna see and nothing else

It's weird repeating a questions but what Chinese cars then?
BYD.

Surprised no one has answered you. China dominates the global ev market. They have no interest in approaching the North American market because its more trouble than its worth and they source metals and parts to the American companies for their ev's anyway.

Appreciate the answer because I was stumped. I haven't seen any of the brands on the road that I saw. Looked up BYD and it seems popular in Europe

US isn't losing anything when they're not even in the market

It'd be a completely different ballpark if it was Japanese cars but that won't happen

Nah, it’s intentional. It’s probably intentional with US social media too though.

You dont think those Chinese kids want to see nonsense too? They do, they just not getting it in their feed.

their algorithm is just different. Still curated and selected/specific content meant for the user to see
The user here creates it.

The user there don’t create anything

They are feed certain information so it no algorithm

I was with bro all through this

The same ppl that clown religion treat politics like a religion. Old/dead people that are gonna save us if we just blindly put our faith in em and donate a little more money.

Us vs them isn't red vs blue, they just want us to think it is

interesting that they use national security for this but wont cite national security for guns.

Couldnt Bytdance just get some American front to be the "owner" and they still retain most of the profits and its business as usual?
ummm....Bytedance is majority owned by a American company and that company is Blackrock. Who in turns owns Google and Meta.

This whole thing China is going to steal your data is bullshit. Blackrock and Vanguard already owns our shit.

I work for a AI company and when I tell you they don't need your information because they already have it please believe me on this. We've been fucked wayyyyy before funky ass Tittok came around

Crazier part about Vanguard and Blackrock is that they finance and start up most of their endeavors with OUR 401K money as investments.

We can't touch the money for x amount of years but they take it and buy companies and properties, inflate the prices and sell it back to us for record profits and nobody seems to have a issue with it

People stupid as fuck if you think Bytedance is gonna give up 12 billion dollars, when TikTok exist outside the US.

Our government at best is a fuckin joke. TikTok was pushing out all perspectives of news to the masses and unfiltered by the government. Also that bill that passed also is way more deeper than just funky ass TikTok it gives the government the right to take any company they deem unworthy from the controlling owners.

Their algorithm is controlled by The State. Remember, this is a socialist country, nearly everything is under government control in some way or form. What kids on the Chinese version see is there because the government said "this is what you will show our citizens". So even if the citizens make shit like what we see, it's intentionally harder to find.
