The Official World Politics Thread

This is just way too long fam

Why am i not surprised u dont see ur own bias?

Lets get back to the original tweet. The "far left" and "far right" represent political extremes on either side of the aisle.

Of course they arent the same. They are bat shit crazy in their own unique ways.

All that twitter post does is say "our extremism is better than yours!!"

If u cant even detect any forms of extremisms on the side u pledge allegiance to theres no farther reason needed to prove ur bias

CLEARLY the tweet was written by a "left leaning" (that better playmaker?) Person for left leaning ppl to eat up

No trolling here.. honest question..

What's the most extreme left leaning idea you've heard in comparison to the most extreme right leaning shit you've heard if you dont mind?

There is nothing passive aggressive bout it you have poor reading comprehension and a shitty grasp of the state of play of the social political realities that have been before us for decades
Ur literal words from me using the term 'leftist' was "dead giveaway"

I said "dead giveaway for what?"

Then u started speaking in generalities like u were dancing around something

I think i know what ur getting at just wondering why u wont say it out right

There are a few but one for instance is the full dismantling of capitalism. When i hear anyone advocating for extreme socialism i cringe.

The identity politics though has to be one of the biggest turn offs for me.

Not to mention using a term like "leftist" is almost enough for someone to call u a white supremacist

Let me guess the guy who cant see other ppl point of view n think others who dont agree wittem gotta be either foolishly idealistic or racist is the poster boy for objective fact?

I empathize with other people’s point of view all the time. There’s literally an example of that on this page.

What I don’t agree with are other people’s “facts. “

Facts are universal constructs. You can’t choose to ignore them when they are inconvenient.

“Poster boy” ... If you are asking if I believe in objective fact? The answer is “Yes”.

There has to be an agreed upon standard of truth that all people of all ideologies agree to. More on that later ...

This is the second or third time you have claimed that I said that you are racist. I never did.

You just claimed that I believe “people that don’t agree with me are racist”. That’s laughably ridiculous and I never said anything of the sort.

I believe that racist people are ... racist.

And I believe that anyone who supports a brazenly racist candidate for President condones racism.

Please find for me the flaw in that logic. As you seem to disagree with it.

I believe that someone who votes for a write-in candidate or refuses to vote at all in the General Election, thereby forfeits their voice in helping decide the victor of said election.

And Yes - ignoring the extremely relevant ramifications of that indecision; or, worse yet, believing they are “protesting” in some way to “make a difference” is incredibly flawed and naïveté.

Spouting republican talking points i mean it's pretty obvious I've said it multiple times on many different post I just thought it was something that was understood

So are u saying im an under cover republican?

Or a white supremacist?

Or an advocate of it?

Bc it doesnt make sense to say "Leftist is a dead giveaway for republican talking points"

The emancipation proclamation was an "extreme" leftist act..

So was the new deal

Identity politics is another one of those words it started with the birth of the unite States and now it's used as a tool to suppress the changing demographic of politics and the make up of this nation

I said u are using the language of the status quo it's not unique to Republicans I didn't call you any such thing

What I don’t agree with are other people’s facts.
This doesnt sound objective

U never said i was racist. I never said u called me racist. I was referring to the part in one of your posts where u said "What non voters did do is help elect a racist into office. Whether that makes people in the group foolishly idealistic, ignorant, negligent or racist - I’ll leave that up to you."

And I believe that anyone who supports a brazenly racist candidate for President condones racism.

Please find for me the flaw in that logic. As you seem to disagree with it.
I never defended anyone who supports trump. I wouldnt know their true reasons/intentions as i didnt vote for him myself. My problem is and has always been lumping trump supporters and non voters practically in the same group. Idk how many more times this has to be stated

I agree that if u sit out as a form of protest ur accomplishing nothing. But i dont have a prob with someone who sits out bc they genuinely dont like either candidate for whatever reason. Thats where we differ.

Pretty sure i heard bernie sanders use the term 'identity politics' u giving him that same energy?

With respect to your centrist argument -

What is it that makes “Extreme Left” policies “just as bad” and “Extreme Right” policies.

What is the logic or fact pattern that you are using to assert that claim?

Or does it just sound like a reasonable and “un-biased” thing to say?

Calling activism identity politics is analogous to calling global warming climate change
