Fox & Friends Tackles News North Korea May Not Be Denuclearizing: ‘Hmm’

On Fox and Friends on Tuesday, hosts Pete Hegseth and Steve Doocy tackled the news that U.S. intelligence has evidence that North Korea is building new intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of reaching the United States.

Hegseth reported that “North Korea could be working to build new missiles despite its pledge to denuclearize.”

“The Washington Post reports U.S. Spy agencies are seeing signs that the rogue regime is working on up to two missiles capable of hitting the United States,” he read. “This satellite photo reportedly shows production at a missile facility.”

“Hmm,” said Hegseth after reading the report. “Not great.”

The pledge Hegseth slightly mentions was the one between Kim Jong Un and President Donald Trump at their summit. After that summit the President said that there was “no more nuclear threat” from North Korea. The Washington Post story has much more.

Co-host Steve Doocy zeroed in on the “real” threat, however, at the end of the clip.

Treasury Dept Reviewing If It Can Enact Tax Cut For Rich Without Congress


Treasury Department Secretary Steven Mnuchin said his department is currently reviewing whether it can give out a $100 billion tax cut to the wealthy without congressional approval, according to The New York Times.

The Treasury Department is looking at adjusting capital gains taxes — primarily paid by the uber wealthy — to account for inflation, Mnuchin told the Times. The measure was not included in the $1.5 trillion tax cut Congress passed and Trump signed into law last year. This tax cut would benefit the top 10 percent of earners in the U.S., according to the Times.

Mnuchin said he had not yet determined if his department had the jurisdiction to act without Congress.

“If it can’t get done through a legislation process, we will look at what tools at Treasury we have to do it on our own and we’ll consider that,” Mnuchin told the Times. “We are studying that internally, and we are also studying the economic costs and the impact on growth.”

Pentagon Reportedly Starting Work on Trump’s Space Force Without Congressional Approval

It seems the Pentagon is going ahead with President Donald Trump‘s Space Force idea, with or without congressional approval.

A report from Defense One says Defense Department officials will soon propose a 14-page plan for a new military division that promises to be out of this world.

The Space Force creation plan is reportedly divided into four parts, three of which can be implemented by the Pentagon over the next few months. The fourth will be initiated once Congress approves a support system for their financing and construction projects.

According to the proposal draft, the Space Force will involve the creation of a new joint agency that will focus on technological R&D, counteracting hostile activity, and launching new military satellites. Defense officials are reportedly working on a way to incorporate these plans into the Congress’ spending bill for 2020.

Here’s the draft obtained by Defense One.

The Department of Defense is establishing a Space Force to protect our economy through deterrence of malicious activities, ensure our space systems meet national security requirements and provide vital capabilities to joint and coalition forces across the spectrum of conflict. DoD will usher in a new age of space technology and field new systems in order to deter, and if necessary degrade, deny, disrupt, destroy and manipulate adversary capabilities to protect U.S. interests, assets and way of life…This new age will unlock growth in the U.S. industrial base, expand the commercial space economy and strengthen partnerships with our allies.

Steve Bannon Warns GOP Midterm Candidates: ‘You Are Going to Pay’ If You Accept ‘Toxic’ Koch Money

Steve Bannon has a very clear message for GOP voters ahead of the midterm elections: Vote for RINO candidates, if you have to, for the greater good of the party. But Bannon also has a message for some candidates who might — by his definition — fall into that RINO category: Don’t you dare accept a dime from the Koch brothers.

The former Breitbart chief is warning candidates that there will be “punishment” if they take any money from the conservative mega-donors. This comes after President Donald Trump called Charles and David Koch a “total joke” because their donor network opposes the president’s trade policy and is refusing to back some of Trump’s preferred candidates.

“You take Koch money, it’s going to be toxic,” Bannon said in an interview with CNBC. “If you take money from people who are against the president and are looking to put a knife in the back of the president, you are going to pay.”

Bannon wouldn’t say what sort of “punishment” Koch money recipients can expect. But he announced that he plans to launch a “continual pressure” campaign against the Koch network — which he says is not as influential as it used to be. The former White House chief strategist also slammed the Koch organization as a “total scam” and a “Ponzi scheme” in which “no one ever knows who their donors are.”

“We are going to find out who they [the donors] are, We are going to identify people who the Kochs back,” Bannon promised. “We’re not just going to sit there and allow them to destroy the Trump presidency.”

James Davis, a Koch network spokesman, offered this response to Bannon:

“We are focused on uniting the country to help remove barriers that are preventing people from reaching their potential, and we look forward to working with anyone to help people improve their lives.”

Trump at Rally: ‘Polls Are Fake Just Like Everything Else’


President Donald Trump stood before an adoring crowd of supporters at a rally in Florida Tuesday night and told them that “just like everything else,” “polls are fake.”

In an extensive and mostly nonsensical riff about his approval ratings, Trump told the crowd, “I guarantee you one thing. I have your vote. I guarantee you.”

“Of course if the Fake News did a poll — they’re called suppression polls,” he said. “Polls are fake just like everything else.”

He continued:

“If the fake news did a poll, it would show that I’m only getting 25% with the 401(k) people even though they’re up 44%. No, we got — we’re doing well. We’re doing well. And I’m happy you’re doing well. They just came out with a poll, did you hear? The most popular person in the history of the Republican Party is Trump. Can you believe this? So I said, does that include honest Abe Lincoln?”

Trump didn’t finish his thought on Lincoln, but he’s made this claim before, and it’s completely false. He is by no means the most popular president in the history of the Republican Party, and when Lincoln was president scientific polls did not exist.

Trump continued with a riff he often wheels out at rallies, pretending to be “presidential” before declaring that doing so would be “easier” than what he does.
