Dope! Ima check this out

I have a teaspoon a day when I make a batch but some people add it to their smoothies or even cook with it... Personally I dont cook with it as I feel like cooking will lose alot of the benefits of it being raw... I buy it vacuum packed and then make my own gel, which lasts me about 10 days...

Apparently the body has 102 or 103 minerals and sea moss is believed to contain 92 of these... There are tons of potential benefits for things such a thyroid health, mucus, gut health etc and you can also use it on the skin but its also worth checking it will agree with you and that doenst clash with any medications you maybe taking (i think it can be an anticoagulant for instance)...

There are couple different types of sea moss though and alot of companies get them confused when advertising them...

Irish Sea Moss, known as 'Chondrus Crispus' is red and found in cold waters and then there is Eucheuma Cottonii Sea Moss which is gold/yellow, this is found in hot waters such as Caribbean or maybe Asia...

But yeah always best doing your research before taking it though and also research who you buy it from, as it can be a shady business...

I would never buy it from a company that doesnt lab test their sea moss for diseases and heavy metals etc... As with it being harvested from the ocean, some companies use inferior (or even fake) seamoss that is harvested from shipping lanes/polluted waters etc and also sell stuff that is not fit for humans and more for agricultural use...

Preciate the info. Do you get yours online or from a particular store?

@Inori

How long does that basil salt last for that you made a while ago??? What do you store it in too??? Im gonna try make some this weekend...

It has a long shelf life since the basil was dehydrated.

In Bermuda it's pretty humid so I keep mine in the fridge along with some other seasonings so that helps with the shelf life as well.

I put the salt in this container here. Not this exact one but very similar.

Sometimes I use glass seasoning jars as well when im done with them. I just take the label off

Sweet, gonna give is a go this weekend... Ive been meaning to try it for a while...

That’s why I’m asking is anyone starting seeds in the winter. So they can sprout for the spring. Or get a early start on vegetables.

Oh right, yeah Im gonna clean out my greenhouse and pollytunnel in a week or so and weed out my fruit area...

Gonna start planning on what to grow too.. I'm gonna be pissed if my corn doesnt grow this year!!!

Giving red cabbage a miss as it took up so much space last year...

what you going to plant? I was thinking about doing watermelons early, but I’m afraid the vines will grow to quick indoors. Last April/May my garden took a beating from random cold days. It was be 3 degrees one day and then 56 the

I stopped growing cabbage when I realized how much you need. I’ve also had issues with growing corn, I’m hoping this year is different.

I’ve also been thinking about doing this. Maybe only 10-15 feet and just growing anything that has a vine.

Ive never grown melons as Im not a massive fan of them but could see it being a fun one to grow, that cage looks dope...

This dudes channel is one of my go too:

Im gonna grow tomatoes but trying a new way of propping them up, using string instead of a cane or cage, gonna do them in the polytunell instead of greenhouse too...

Giving sweetcorn another go too and the carrots, cucumber, basil, peppermint and going to try onions and garlic again...

Then outdoors got the usual blueberries, loganberries and gonna make a strawberry tower for them this year...

Last years new gojiberry plant developed loads of white mildew before chopping it back for winter, so not sure whether to see how it does this year or start a fresh, annoying thing is it takes a year before fruiting...

Im also gonna make sure that I get as many diseases resistant seeds and cuttings too...

You know I would watch this guy when me and my wife would drive or take the train into Michigan. I was watching a video once and he spoke about how someone else took care of his garden because he was off working or whatever. I stopped watching him. Maybe I should give him another chance, but I was turned off thinking this dude wasn’t even responsible for his own garden.

What??? Nah hope thats not true man... I think he may have had separate communal place with 2 other people that grow stuff together though...

He used to be the urban gardener, as he lived in a busy neighbourhood with minimal space and cars would go tearing past in the vids haha but now hes moved to a farm with tons of space...

Probably some tomato variants and peppers for starters.

Im gonna try to crossbreed some different peppers to create a new kind. I tried last year but the elements kept messing my plants up. Gonna have two different pepper variants, one sweet and one hot in pots indoors and try to cross pollinate from there
