The official COVID-19/Coronavirus Discussion Thread...aka I hope I don't get the Rona

And I guess this is one of the reasons why I'm a little bit hesitant to get it.

You just compared it to the flu shot.

Well, the flu shot isn't a vaccine.

I've never taken a flu shot in my life, but..............from what I know about it.......it's something people take every year to fight off different strains of the flu.

So, if the flu shot isn't a vaccine............and the Covid vaccine operates just like the flu shot..............is the Covid "vaccine" really a vaccine?

Or is it just a temporary treatment?

Are y'all ok with having to get this......."vaccine".......every year just like you get the flu shot?

Keep in mind, that with the flu shot..............it kind of weakens your immune system because it hinders it from developing natural antibodies that it would normally use to fight the flu.

Is it possible that this could be the case with the Covid shot as well?

Bruh... you need to do a better job educating yourself about this topic.

So... for the fully vaccinated peeps in the US .... y'all going throw away your mask now that CDC said that y'all don't need to wear it in most situations? (I wouldn't.)

Has that announcement swayed anyone to go get the shot? Curious if it had any effect.

I'm still gonna wear one. Human beings have shown they don't do things in theirs...or others best interests.

Less than one percent of ppl who recovered from Covid get reinfected. Yes there are variants and we only working with the data we have now, but if I already got the shit and still taking measures like CDC suggests, abiding by state protocols as well as businesses, I'm not in a rush.

Nothing unreasonable about that at all.

I still have not seen solid data for either side

CDC policies differ world wide and have been quite polarizing and in contrast with each other regarding which vaccines are safe and which aren’t and so on. Keep in mind that most of these producers are businesses with marketing teams - just check in the annual report what Pfizer/BioNTech spent on marketing ... shit is st

We’re at the point that the most used vaccine in the UK is banned for use in The Netherlands and Denmark for under 60 cause ‘the risk of dying of AstraZeneca is just as great or greater than dying if COVID-19’. But The Danish also banned JnJ - Janssen, Dutch developed - vaccine for that very reason yet here in The Netherlands we use it specifically for people under 60 lol ... we all got our own Outbreak Management Teams with virologists etc, all backed by our own science ...

were slowly getting out of the lockdowns here in The Netherlands - not due to vaccinations - but because according to our ‘Fauci’ COVID is seasonal and he backs it up with hospital admissions and infections rates dropping significantly in correlation with the poorly ran vaccine campaign ...

I know that y’all that got vaccinated with Pfizer don’t wanna hear or read it, but currently you’re on your high horse cause ‘you got vaccinated’ and believe the ‘herd immunity, mutations and you do it for someone else, think about our shitty healthcare!’ Marketing campaign but bench mark this post, next year - or two years from now - you’ll realize you got conned cause while you’re getting your 4th or 5th shot a couple billion people aren’t vaccinated and partying in Bali like usual lol.

regardless of some anecdotical evidence that pop up online - a poster, aliases, bots ? - there is one aspect of covid that scientist worldwide seem to agree on and havent debunked ; It is extremely rare to get COVID twice, and people that do usually don’t have any symptoms...

it’s like the annual flu shot on steriods, in Europe people don’t take the flu vaccine - only small % of old people do, in most of Asia they haven’t even heard about it lol - but in the US, that shit has been commercialized and people of all ages take the shot...

different countries, different companies n policies ...

How are y’all gonna call me unreasonable for not vaccinating myself - or my child - for covid when we already ‘walked it off’ and my governments CDC is advising me NOT to take the vaccine you took last week?

One was in the hospital but for 2 days. They had to keep her on oxygen.
the other had a spike in her blood pressure and developed an irregular heartbeat.
How soon we forget how bad Covid really is. Vaccine is here now everybody scared of the vaccine. I know what Covid do. May not be so sure about the vaccine but I know it don’t do what Covid do.

CDC website also states with mRNA vaccines that reinfection, hospitalization and even death is still possible tho rare.

But mfs prefer to act like only reasons for not getting vaccinated is brain rotting on conspiracies when clearly they ignored or haven't read some of the science they're accusing us of disregarding.

I guess it’s a simple statistics formula for me.

Covid has killed almost 3.5M people worldwide. And a good bit of those that survive have long term effects on their heart, lungs, and/or brain clarity.

1.59B doses of the vaccine has been administered, with 376M fully vaccinated and only 1 verified death from the vaccine, the J&J vaccine. Yes we don’t know the long term effects, but our prior knowledge on vaccines would suggest any harmful effects occur within 2 months of getting a vaccine, the majority happening within 2 weeks.

So I know Covid killing and maiming folks. Vaccine is not and is also protecting me from the killer.

Seems pretty logical in my mind, but everybody has to weigh their own risks.

3.5 million out of 7.6 billion is pretty darn low.

I look at it as, inform yourself to the best of your abilities. Make an informed decision and that's your business. And within that choice to still do what u can to reduce exposure risk.

Bc u have ppl getting vaccinated and going back to regular life without waiting the two week period. They thought they were doing the right thing, but they were uninformed, and are an even bigger part of the problem than those who won't vaccinate but still try to be safe.

But of course let's turn everything into us vs them because...humans

I always tell my kids, it may only be a 0.05% chance, but for the 3.5 million people that died it is a 100% chance for them.

Plus anytime you’re dealing with large numbers like that it doesn’t take a large percentage to make a large impact. Those are real lives and we have a means to protect more people from that fate now.

I’m not judgmental of those that choose to not get it though. I’m not arrogant enough to think my logic is the best or only logic. All of us vaccinated can be zombies tomorrow for all I know.

Idk, when they say a virus never before seen on earth is cuttin through the streets I'll start freaking out. This virus has the same death and kill rate as the yearly flu. The lasting effect the virus apparently/supposedly has on some people is quite interesting to me tho. Spanish flu and bubonic plague would barely make a dent in our numbers if it made a come back so.... shit better be from space before I get worried.

Ps. Or man-made, I'm not skippy on mankind playing around in labs trying to be smart. Fuck around and we'll all be laying around cuz they played too far.

Covid having the same mortality rate as the flu is a common misconception. Flu kills anywhere between 20 and 80k people annually in the US. Covid has killed almost 650k in the US in just one year. So you’re looking at an almost 10x mortality rate as compared to the flu.
