The official COVID-19/Coronavirus Discussion Thread...aka I hope I don't get the Rona

Yea its supposed to be 1k to 2k, per adult, so most households are gonna be getting 2k to 4k.

And they are already setting up for the possibility that these checks are gonna be sent out more than once.

So depending how long this takes, households will get anywhere between 6-12k when its all said and done.

Welcome to socialism. Its been a while coming. Alot of yall fought it. And now yall refreshing yall bank to see if the checks hit or not.
 
The next step is gonna be to freeze rent/mortgage and utility payments. This might take a month and a half to two months before it happens but unless corona cases just disappear out the blue, theres gonna be no choice but to do it.

For mortgages, they'll just defer the payments and add them to the back end of the loan. But for rent paying mfers? Its bout to be a holiday!

I’ll take it if it’s not income based, but I’m not mad if it is income based. People in my position and similar or better will be fine. Give the money that would have gone to them to the more needy. I’d even challenge people who don’t really need it donate it to a better good.

Plus the payroll tax holiday? Mfers might be getting a 6-10% boost per check. Thats crazy.

For people that end up not losing their jobs through all this, if they get 1k a month, plus deferred payments of rent/some bills, and the payroll tax cut? Some mfers are looking at a mean come up.

Plus everything closed so mfers cant really spend it.

Hope I can keep my job man.

I agree with you for the most part. If Trump really wanted to pull new voters though and help the economy, he’d cancel all student loan debt.
 
1st day of my quarantine my grandma gets a successful check up on her pace maker( minor surgery) everything was going well falls into a coma and is now in icu cant see her because of the virus. if she dies fuck we supposed to do have a face time funeral?

everybody's devastated but i knew this was going to happen i don't know why but i did.

i work in IT, so far its looking like ima be able to work from home until this is done im trying to acquire like 3 more work from home jobs, and have my kids help me out deadass a little IT sweatshop. but i was telling my wife we are oen of teh few people that might be ok through all this i still need a few guns tho
 
Cant wait for the well off "capatalism is god" mfers to start talking bout how handouts are wrong.

Mfers gonna start worrying about the deficit now. Trillions in debt and the people never saw a dime, but now that these checks are gonna add like 400 billion to the deficit, they gonna wild out.

Mfers gonna get on some "well people should have saved for situations like this" all the while they gonna support bailing out huge companies that didnt prepare.

And the most ironic shit about this is that Trump is calling this the "Chinese virus" and someone in his administration called it the "Kung Flu" but where yall think we gonna get the money to pay for all this? Its all gonna be a loan from China.

Plus, all this talk about we need respirators and supplies. And we have people in China trying to buy them and send it back.

Lmao. Whole country is a mess.

Im also in IT. For now we are good.

The issue is if this takes 12-18 months and we get a 20% unemployment rate 4 months in, and people have no money to spend, and businesses are shut down, IT companies will start losing money and layoffs will be inevitable. Our industry will be one of the last ones to be hit, but we'll still be hit at some point.

Just hoping we good.
