That’s what I thought. You more privileged than I ever was growing up honey, bet that. Don’t ever come at me sideways about my hustle and hard work. I get on here and speak on my privilege not because I’m proud of having it, but because of all the shit I’ve endured to get it. I’m proud of the process even more than the result.

And you know what I’ve never done, even though I’m half white??

Date a white girl. I’ve only dated black women my whole life. I was never confused about my preference for my black queens.
Whew

Thought I was gonna have to put you on the list b lol

Good save

they are already talking about how “progressive cost them votes"

so that should tell you what type time biden and the dnc are on
I was just watching AOC on CNN State of the Union and they asked her this question specifically. She blamed it on digital campaigning and not the socialist message. She pointed out that the people that lost didn’t run on the socialist message.

What she fails to understand I think is that even though a democrat may not run on that message, the general electorate paint the entire party as moving in that direction now. And that hurts democrats in any district regardless of their messaging.

So while I agree with much of what AOC and Sanders and crew strive for, I don’t agree with the socialist label. The US shouldn’t go full socialist which is how people view their platforms. We have now, and should have more, socialist type policies, but not go full blown socialist as it seems they suggest. That’s going to always be a loser in the US cause that’s not us. And that’s why Biden won and democrats lost seats in the senate.

Maybe many years down the road, but you can’t show that hand right now. You push incrementally to get more people on board. I think Obamacare is a great example of this.

Republicans and their supporters hated the idea, but it got through. And once it was in place and the supporters saw the benefits, they actually pushed back when Republicans talked about taking it away.

So let’s not just jump out the window and say “we’re going to make this a socialist nation!” Instead, push individual policies incrementally. Socialize the ideas, get more people on board. Cause Americans are extremely adverse to change, especially when it’s pushed by the government.

And just to clarify, I don’t believe we should be a socialist nation, but I think we do need to add some more socialist policies like free healthcare and education.

That's most people period that's why alot of people aren't as good as they think they are at communication. They're good at talking but really bad at listening
I’m guilty and working on it. I try to at least ask questions sometimes to make sure I heard the stance correctly.
