Disturbing Posts Show Neo-Nazi Mall Shooter Documented His Planning
A social media account that appears to belong to gunman Mauricio Garcia is filled with bigotry toward women, Jewish people, and racial minorities.

In one recent post, he mused about the Latino people being white, and cited Nick Fuentes, a white supremacist with Hispanic heritage.
“Hell Nick Fuentes said something like that while he was on the pearl show,” he wrote. “I think I even read in the news Hispanics could be the new white supremist [sic]. Just the other day this black dude told me the line is blurring. He can't tell the difference anymore. Someone would look white but they’re [sic] actually Hispanic.”
There were also posts about romance—or lack thereof.
“I don’t care about getting a girlfriend anymore,” one said. “I still want sex, just not a ‘girlfriend’ because I don’t believe anymore women are capable to genuinely love a man.”
The account had no friends and no comments on any of its posts.
Other posts include photos of weapons and ammunition, and espouse bigotry toward women, Jewish people, and racial minorities. Among them are photos of men and women giving Nazi salutes, with the caption, “My kind of people.” “Pinochet did nothing wrong,” reads a line of text beneath a picture of brutal Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet. In a handwritten notebook entry dated July 11, 2022 and posted to the account, Garcia says somebody told him he looks “like the type to walk into a crowd and start shooting.”

Detroit cats on this board might remember when they first put in metal detectors at the AMC Americana movie theater around '86 or '87. Bunch of shootings happened in there and when AMC bought it that was one of the first things they did was install metal detectors.

In VA, they definitely don’t have armed security in any of the theaters. I thought it would be a knee jerk reaction nationwide after the dark knight incident in Colorado.
Same in Washington. No armed security in theaters…or even regular security now that I think about it.

IIRC there's armed guards at the free-standing theaters in Vegas. It's expected in the theaters that are inside of the casinos as there's armed guards all over those spots.
Haven't been to the flicks out here just yet, but I'll keep an eye open when I do. I'm curious to know if they're out there yet.
