We do. That comes with trying to be the world's police. I agree that we should stop doing that. I'm just pointing out that its silly to act like we could instantly do that right this second in order to give all that money to helping the fire victims. If we could do that, then we should drop Israel's number down to 0 and send all that money to Cali.

It's clear when people see the numbers in the amounts given in aid they think just cash transfers are happening when thays not the case. But framing it as such let's people ignore what you just said. There's actual legalities behind these decisions

Facts but Ukraine been corrupt and they've had senior officials forced to resign over stealing funds meant for the war as some sort of pledge to show they are trying to crack down.

Our government doesn't help out the kindness of their hearts they gotta get something out of it. Which makes sense when dealing with foreign countries, but doesn't make sense when they do that to the tax payers that been paying their salaries and electing them
 
It is wild the ppl I see talking like Newsom is some completely powerless character and trying to point fingers in another direction. At the end of the day he is responsible for the state and he signed up for this. He's the one that has to answer for this.

I think ppl need to start admitting to themselves these politicians either can't or won't do nothing for us.
