Official Wrestling News Thread

Axios.com featured a piece on all the rapidly developing twists and turns within WWE corporate over the last week that originated with Vince McMahon forcing himself back into a major role in the company to potentially faciliate a sale.

Interesting to note that in their coverage, it is noted, "Sources told Axios that Stephanie McMahon and her husband Paul "Triple H" Levesque, the company's chief content officer and a retired professional wrestler, had opposed a sale."

Should that be accurate, it certainly adds a new dimension to Stephanie McMahon's decision to resign from the company earlier this week.

Lol if peacock loses the WWE I’d never pay for no ppv. Disney would water WWE down worse than it already is. And I find hilarious irony if Tony purchases WWE. History has a way of repeating itself although these are very different circumstances.

I know folks sayin Comcast but I’m hoping Amazon or Netflix swoops in and steals that shit.
Netflix seems like a bad choice. Its already not in great hands and those hands with WWE...Man i can see Netflix having worse issues in general 5 yrs from now unless they turn their ship around and not sure WWE is that savior.

I think Dubbz said it yesterday and he's right, as long as the tv product isn't messed with then I couldn't care less about who owns it
This is facts but you know damn well certain people like Disney just going to water it down or possibly cross promote dumb shit into the product and possibly make it it even more less violent and add to the family product..the maybe cool thing would be WWE based attractions at their parks.

Saudi deal would more likely keep Vince as the head and at creative. Those are 2 bad scenarios that are possible.

I can already see an Avengers or Star Wars themed match

I think an NBA game on ESPN did that a year or two ago with holographic Avengers poppin up on the court periodically

Female division in AEW needs in ring tactician’s.

sasha ain’t it.
Yea she takes great bumps and all.. but she will not be utilized for anything other than hard hitting spots.

they need Mickie James and Gail Kim something serious.

if mickie can turn Alexa from a scared lil girl to frightened to take a bump from a hip toss into a damn wrestler then I know she can turn them wrestlers over at AEW into something amazing.

They have one in Serena Deeb but she must be injured because she hasn't been on tv in weeks. They could use another one as well

Khan family has interest in merging AEW and WWE, Khans open to Vince McMahon having a role in the company

I have no interest in seeing Vince McMahons hand in wrestling. He’s proven that he doesn’t know his audience time and time again over the past few years. He’s gotta step off and bow out respectfully while he can. He’s already left and bullied his way back in leaving an even more sour taste in the mouth of his family, staff, investors and fans. Time to bounce.

As for AEW merging w WWE. Meh. Not sure Kahn could handle it all. And I don’t see the Levesque’s working w them/him. Or maybe they can, idk. But if this happens it would be wild..Vince kills his competitors by buying them all out w all rights to their vault and employees just to end up being bought by the company who set out to kill his company years later. Wild.
