Official Wrestling News Thread

WWE being sold is the biggest story in wrestling right now and could literally change the entire landscape of the industry.

But no, let's not discuss it on a forum built for discussion.

I wonder how numbers would look if they did bring back paid ppvs tho. I know WWE Network put them in the negatives but idk if the Peacock deal helped significantly. Not that I want to gp back to paying for PPVs but i remember the company taking a major loss on that revenue with the number of subs on their WWE network.

Lol if peacock loses the WWE I’d never pay for no ppv. Disney would water WWE down worse than it already is. And I find hilarious irony if Tony purchases WWE. History has a way of repeating itself although these are very different circumstances.

I know folks sayin Comcast but I’m hoping Amazon or Netflix swoops in and steals that shit.

WWE is valued around 7-10 Billion. Vince has to accept the best offer in order to not be sued by the shareholders. I think I read somewhere the Saudis have like over 600 billion in assets. If they overpay(which is likely) then Vince will have to sell to them. I think the deal was already done or in the works during the 6 months Vince was gone and that we'll get an announcement probably after Mania or Mid year.

Amazon would have Prime marketing all over the arena lol

I was watching the PPVs for free b4 the network so if they go back to doing full priced shit again ill just find another way to view for free

I think Dubbz said it yesterday and he's right, as long as the tv product isn't messed with then I couldn't care less about who owns it

yea, thats what I saiid in the discord. Thats the only thing I care about honestly

They hotshot book and shoehorn/force feuds and storylines to build up to them saudi shows every year. Vince ain't selling to anyone who won't take it private so he can do whatever he wants to do to avoid the SEC and get creative control again. Theres a big reason people are concerned about certain bidders buying the company.
