I think the deal is already done or there’s a handshake agreement in place and we won’t find out until later.
Im leaning on a deal is already in place too they just got to roll it out.

FOX is reportedly losing money under their deal with WWE SmackDown.

A new report from the Wrestling Observer cites a Morgan Stanley analysis that said the price tag for SmackDown could not be justified. FOX paid $196.7 million for SmackDown in the 2020-2021 TV season, and ended up with $134 million in losses. In the 2021-2022 season, FOX paid $208.5 million for the show, and ended up with $145 million in losses.

The conclusion to the analysis was that there simply are not enough wrestling fans to justify the kind of money FOX spent on SmackDown, and that the number of viewers likely will not change over the next two years.

SmackDown wins Friday nights for FOX on most weeks and that makes WWE more valuable to other networks, but at the same time, even with winning the night, SmackDown still brings in the lowest ad rates of Friday night primetime network TV shows at $47,000 per minutes.

People said from the jump Fox overpaid for Smackdown. They were expecting 3 million and 1.0s in the demo. Only thing SD got going for it is Roman and the Bloodline story

Cody Rhodes is on his way back and was recently working to get in-ring clearance.

Sources familiar with the situation confirmed to Fightful Select that not only is Cody Rhodes preparing for his return, he's been at the WWE Performance Center to prepare.

Cody Rhodes (and his big ass bus) were both spotted at the Performance Center in late December, as were members of his family and team.

A particularly interesting note is that Cody Rhodes was able to select who helped him prepare for his return. We're told that Rhodes hand picked NXT stars Carmelo Hayes and Joe Gacy to work alongside him and help him get ready for an on-screen in-ring return.

Not that it's any surprise, but Cody Rhodes is factored into WWE's WrestleMania plans, and had been as far back as the fall despite his injury.

i bet Cody won't work with Melo once he hit the main roster tbh.

After this bloodline run...

It's gonna be tough to build another program this engaging.

I honestly think war games was the climax ... But I will be happy to be wrong

You get Rock for Mania and you can still reach another level. They still need to build a babyface who has as compelling a story. Which they're in the process of creating with Cody, but I think would benefit from a slower build.

The only interesting or engaging thing on WWE television outside of the Bloodline is what's going on with Bray wyatt. The question is: will people be patient enough to stick with it because alot of this Bray Wyatt stuff feels like we going in circles/nowhere.
