Official Wrestling News Thread

While in India, Drew McIntyre was interviewed about his future with WWE based on our reports earlier this year that his current deal would expire in early 2024. McIntyre ducked the obvious questions and commented that he was focused on the present and didn't have plans to leave, leaving it open-ended.

As it so happens, in asking WWE sources this week whether there had been any movement on signing McIntyre to a new deal, we were told that the company had been mostly focused on finalizing the Endeavor WWE acquisition so there hadn't been much, if any movement. We were also told that the company had not rushed to lock McIntyre into a new deal as they had time to work on it, with one source noting that with McIntyre having taken time off earlier this year, there was additional time added to his contract.

PWInsiderElite.com is told that the company has McIntyre now locked in until around Wrestlemania 40, so that now gives the two sides in the area of seven months to finalize a new deal.

There are fake reports and photos circulating online that Randy Orton returned at today's WWE live event in India.

Orton is not there, did not appear and the reports are 100% false.
