I don't like Bradley as a commentator at all for real. Being honest I think talk shit to help promote Crawford for ESPN and Arum because he got Bradley those paychecks for those fights with Manny.

With all that said prime Floyd vs prime Crawford would've been one of Floyd toughest fights IMO. But saying he picking Crawford any day of the week is some bullshit

Crawford Rejects "Wrong Side of Street" Talk For PBC Fighters

WBO welterweight world champion Terence "Bud" Crawford is rejecting the talk of being on the "wrong side of the street" when it comes to securing fights with boxers who compete under the Premier Boxing Champions banner.

Crawford returns on Saturday night against mandatory challenger Egidijus "Mean Machine" Kavaliauskas (21-0-1, 17 KOs) at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The fight will be handled by ESPN.

Crawford (35-0, 26 KOs) wants to secure fights with the biggest names in his division, but he's having some problems.

Most of the known names are competing with PBC, who have content deals with Showtime and Fox Sports. Crawford is with Top Rank, who have an exclusive deal with ESPN.

Among the welterweight names in the PBC stable are WBC, IBF welterweight champ Errol Spence, WBC welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, former unified champion Keith Thurman, former two division champion Danny Garcia, former world champion Shawn Porter, Yordenis Ugas, Sergey Lipinets, and several others.

ESPN and PBC are expected to come together to stage a joint pay-per-view event between Deontay Wilder (under PBC) and Tyson Fury (under ESPN) - so Crawford sees no reason as to why certain fight can't be made for him with the PBC welterweights.

"Well, Deontay Wilder is about to fight Tyson Fury and you never hear about any 'sides of the street.' It's just something people say when it comes to Terence Crawford. You don't hear 'wrong side of the street' with any other fighter but Terence Crawford. Why do all these other fights get made, but when it's Terence Crawford, it's about the 'wrong side of the street?,'" Crawford said.

No wonder this nigga resigned with Top Rank so quickly.. This nigga doesn’t understand the business of boxing at all...

Russian boxers threaten to boycott Olympics if sanctions not lifted

Russian boxers will take part in the Tokyo Olympics only if doping sanctions forcing them to compete as neutral athletes are overturned, the general secretary of the Russian Boxing Federation told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

Umar Kremlev said he has spoken with members of the Olympic boxing team, and they "unanimously" rejected the conditions laid out by the World Anti-Doping Agency as punishment for manipulating doping data.

The WADA sanctions, announced on Monday, ban the use of the Russian team name, flag or anthem at a range of major sports competitions over the next four years, including next year's Olympics.

"They said we won't go without our flag and anthem," Kremlev said. "We aren't going for medals, but for that feeling that I brought the highest honor home for my country."

Separately, the speaker of Russia's upper house of parliament said Russia could create an alternative to the Olympics. "This ruling show the clear crisis in international sports institutions. I believe that Russia could host its own games at home,'' Valentina Matvienko said in comments reported by the Interfax news agency. There is a precedent. After the Russian Revolution of 1917, the Soviet Union refused to compete in the Olympics and hosted its own Spartakiad -- named after the ancient rebel slave Spartacus -- with a strong socialist slant. However, the Soviet Union began competing at the Olympics in 1952, and Russians generally take great pride in the country's Olympic achievements since then.

If the sanctions aren't overturned, Russian boxers would prefer to turn pro than compete at the Olympics, Kremlev said.

"A world champion [in professional boxing] is better known than an Olympic champion," Kremlev said, adding that the Russian anthem would be played before pro title fights.

The AIBA world boxing championships are for amateur fighters.

Kremlev said boxers are being asked to shoulder the blame for offenses committed in other sports. He said they would stay at home even if Russia's athletes in other sports decided to take part.

"If other sports are guilty and people have breached the WADA code, why are we punished?" he said. "We are for honest sport and against doping. We want our sport to be clean. ... If someone breaks the rules, we push them out."

Russia is a major power in amateur and Olympic boxing. It hosted both men's and women's world championships this year, finishing at the top of the medals table at the women's event and second in the men's championships. The International Olympic Committee has taken direct charge of boxing at the Tokyo Olympics after criticizing chronic financial problems and infighting at the International Boxing Association.

Russian sports minister Pavel Kolobkov talked up Russia's chances of overturning the WADA sanctions Wednesday.

"I think that there is every basis to appeal the decision, because our experts have presented their position, and they have the same database as WADA does," Kolobkov said in comments reported by state news agency TASS. "There is an answer to every question, and the whole process is ahead of us."

The decision on whether to dispute the sanctions will be made on Dec. 19 by the Russian anti-doping agency's supervisory board, but senior figures, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, have signaled their preference for taking the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Leon Spinks seriously ill in Las Vegas hospital

Former heavyweight world champion Leon Spinks is seriously ill with an undisclosed ailment and is hospitalized in Las Vegas.

"Leon is currently hospitalized and in the care of an exceptional team of doctors," Brenda Glur Spinks, the former fighter's wife, told ESPN in a statement on Thursday. "We kindly request that privacy be given to his family at this time. I, Brenda, Leon's wife, and our family would like to graciously thank all of Leon's friends and fans for all of the outpouring support of love and prayers."

She declined to give any more details about her husband's condition.

On Monday, she wrote on her Facebook page that Spinks was dealing with medical issues.

"Dear Friends: I know it's been awhile. However, you know how I Believe in the Power of Prayer," she wrote. "It's been a tough year for us. Leon has endured a lot of medical problems. I'm reaching out to ask you to kindly pray for my Beautiful Husband Leon. So that he may overcome the obstacles that have crossed his path. We Love You."

Spinks, 66, who won an Olympic gold medal in 1976, made boxing history on Feb. 15, 1978, when he was 6-0-1 and got a surprising shot to challenge Muhammad Ali for the heavyweight world title. Spinks won a 15-round split decision at the Las Vegas Hilton to win the title in a massive upset. Soon Spinks and his gap-toothed grin were everywhere and he instantly became one of the most recognizable people in the world.

Spinks and Ali met again in a rematch seven months later at the Superdome in New Orleans. Ali regained the title by a 15-round unanimous decision.

Spinks (26-17-3, 14 KOs) never again approached the level of success he had in the first fight with Ali, but he continued to fight for many years before retiring in 1995. In 2017, he was inducted into the Las Vegas Boxing Hall of Fame.

Spinks, the brother of Hall of Fame former heavyweight and light heavyweight champion Michael Spinks and the father of former undisputed welterweight world champion Cory Spinks, has had previous medical problems. In 2014, he suffered intestinal damage and was hospitalized after swallowing a piece of chicken bone. It led to multiple surgeries.

Anthony Joshua has competing mandatory defenses from WBO, IBF

One day after unified heavyweight world titleholder Anthony Joshua was formally ordered to make his WBO mandatory defense against Oleksandr Usyk, he was ordered by the IBF on Thursday to make the mandatory defense for that organization against Kubrat Pulev.

The dual orders place Joshua's hold on three of the four major world title belts in jeopardy because he cannot make two mandatories at the same time. That means either one organization or challenger will have to agree to step aside for the other fight or Joshua will have to vacate or be stripped of one of the titles.

Less than 24 hours after the WBO notified the Joshua and Usyk teams that they had 30 days to make a deal or a purse bid would be ordered, the IBF sent letters via email to the Joshua and Pulev camps notifying them that they should immediately begin negotiating that bout.

"Negotiations should commence immediately and be concluded by January 11, 2020," IBF championships committee chairman Carlos Ortiz Jr. wrote in the letter. "If you are unable to come to an agreement for this bout the IBF will call for a purse bid."

If the fight goes to a purse, Joshua, as the titleholder, would be entitled to 65% of the winning bid, and Pulev (28-1, 14 KOs), 38, of Bulgaria, would receive 35%. The fight is worth tens of millions of dollars.

Joshua (23-1, 21 KOs), 30, of England, and Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, who also co-promotes former undisputed cruiserweight world champion Usyk (17-0, 13 KOs), 32, of Ukraine, have not specified what their plan is or which mandatory opponent they plan to pursue, but Hearn has been in touch with John Wirt of Epic Sports and Entertainment, which co-promotes Pulev with Top Rank.

The orders come less than a week after Joshua easily outpointed Andy Ruiz Jr. on Saturday in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, to regain the titles and avenge the monumental upset seventh-round knockout Ruiz authored to take the belts on June 1 in New York.
