Like I said its pointless believing anything in print, Eddie would of prolly been in the loop either way... Eddie has a huge deal with DAZN, and the money and numbers British fans bring to the table is crazy and they know they all need to work together... Its hardly a surprise the first fight was with a Matchroom fighter...

All promoters are picking sides now, Frank Warren working with Top Rank etc its tit for tat... I just wanna see more cross promotion fights....

Its going over his head because he went and negotiated straight with Hearn's boss?

After that deal was done Skipper came out and said all other deals with be negotiated with Hearn. Don't see whats so hard to get.

Hagler told Ray he wasn't motivated anymore, before he knew Ray wanted a comeback.... Again, I think it sneaky and I didn't like that...Ray confirms it:

It wasn't scheduled for 15 rounds Hagler wanted 15 Leonard wanted 12. They negotiated and Leonard got 12 and Hagler got more money. End of story.

OK, I'll put it like this for you, Leonard negotiated/demanded 12rounds, bigger ring and bigger gloves... The fight would prolly not have taken place otherwise... Indeed, end of story...

Hagler for the money agreed to those terms when as a man he always had the option to say no but didn't.

They ain't going to fight anytime soon though.

I want to see cause they really seem to dislike each other and get to fight it out in the ring for money without anybody going to jail for it.

That's a win win to get paid to beat up somebody you don't like when you would do the same for free if on the streets without a boxing career.
 
I like Farmer he has slick skills and movement but I just don't think he will have enough to keep Tank off him... I don't pay any attention to the early losses on his record, he pretty much had a baptism of fire into the pro ranks and dude had to grind like mad to get to where he is at now so I got maxim respect for that...

Mares is good but he older and going up in weight for that fight. Tank gonna walk Mares down and get him outta there if he in shape and not bullshitting. Which I don't think Cunningham will allow him to do.

New York - There’s nothing quite like a big fight atmosphere inside of the world’s most famous arena. Madison Square Garden has played host to many historical boxing fights in its existence.

This past Saturday, the sport’s biggest star Canelo Alvarez (51-1-2, 35 KOs) destroyed Rocky Fielding (27-2, 15 KOs) in front of 20,112 fans in a sold out arena.

The fight certainly felt like Fielding was in over his head but the screaming fans inside Madison Square Garden didn’t seem to care.

Promoter Eddie Hearn, a man used to big fight atmospheres in the United Kingdom said even he felt some energy that he never felt while being inside Madison Square Garden.

“This place just gives you goose bumps when you walk out here.” Hearn told BoxingScene.com “I want (Anthony) Joshua to fight here, whether it’s Deontay Wilder or (Jarrell) Big Baby Miller.”

Joshua (22-0, 21 KOs) and Wilder (40-0-1, 39 KOs) is arguably the biggest fight to make in boxing.

However with a rematch looming this Saturday between Dillian Whyte (24-1, 17 KOs) and Derek Chisora (29-8, 21 KOs), most people think the winner of the fight or Jarrell Miller is facing Joshua next. Joshua is already penciled in for an April 13th date at Wembley Stadium, but a report has surfaced on BoxingScene.com that Miller would get the Joshua assignment next in New York with Amir Khan (33-4, 20 KOs) and Kell Brook (38-2, 26 KOs). moving to Wembley on the proposed April 13th date.

Regarding Khan-Brook, Hearn said, “We should know if Khan is fighting Terence Crawford or Kell Brook this week.”

For Joshua, Hearn wants the Wilder fight next and by latest the end of 2019 even if Wilder has a big rematch fight with Tyson Fury also on the table.

“If its 2020, it’s going to be very disappointing,” explained Hearn. “Wilder’s always said one face one champion, we can make an undisputed fight right now. If that’s important to him and legacy is important, then he’ll fight Joshua. We can’t do anything if he doesn’t want the fight.”

Wilder majority draw with Fury added another player to the division but still feels Wilder should take the Joshua fight next.

“Wilder-Fury, It just made the heavyweight division more exciting. It’s added another player. Its added value to Tyson Fury and added value to Tyson Fury so yeah it’s made the division more exciting. We want Wilder next. We can’t make it anymore more clear, We want them next.”

Adonis Stevenson Still in a Coma, Not Improved, Says Promoter

The promoter for former WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson says the boxer remains unconscious and has not improved since doctors sedated him and placed him on a ventilator after a December 1 knockout loss.

Promoter Yvon Michel said Thursday "doctors do not venture an opinion on what lies ahead" for the 41-year-old fighter.

He further stated that "there is no improvement at the moment. He has a great team of doctors who take care of him and the evaluations are daily."

Stevenson is in intensive care at Quebec City's Hopital de l'Enfant-Jesusstill and "needs mechanical assistance to breathe"

Stevenson's condition deteriorated after he was helped to the dressing room following a mandatory defense of the WBC title against Oleksandr Gvozdyk of Ukraine at the Videotron Centre.

After a close fight in the first half, Stevenson began to fade as the bout played out in the later rounds. After staging a finally rally in the tenth, when he managed to hurt Gvozdyk, the challenger then unleashed an assault of hard punches in the eleventh that sent Stevenson down hard. The contest was quickly waved off.

Stevenson went back to the dressing room, but he began to feel dizzy and unwell.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance. And then admitted with a traumatic brain injury that required immediate neurosurgery.

Intensive care specialist Dr Alexis Turgeon said on December 5 most patients suffered lasting effects from such injuries.

The hospital has not provided an official update on Stevenson's condition since.
