Loma on the bad side of 30.

That shoulder ain't never gonna be right.

That's the sport. That's boxing.

Tank stops him

Loma just schooled a world champ, that's the thing with Loma, we judge way more harshly than a normal world champ... Loma is also a lot smaller than others at lightweight, (think there was a 5" reach advantage for Pedraza) which is why he prolly wants Tank... IMO the only thing that beats Loma is size, I cant see him going up another weight to Light Welter...

One thing with Loma last night, he didn't spin around Pedraza as much as I liked, he normally has fighters in daze but I never really noticed him doing that until the 11th, when he was t-ing off on him...

Not sure if anyone saw Kell Brook fight last night... You didn't miss anything, he looked terrible... One plus side, Khan might stop running from him and fight him now though lol If he does I hope Kell goes back to his previous trainer (Dominic Ingle) for the fight...

Like Gary Russell Jr? Or Guillermo Rigondeaux? I'm all for rooting for the black man but Loma is the truth.

Tank got rocked my Pedraza too, I forget what round but I think Loma will end up making Tank quit through frustration...

I was a massive Nicolas Walters fan, I was gutted when Loma made him quit...

I was pretty lit last night, and by rule I always defend my drunken words....

So I'mma run with this tank beats lomachenko theory....

Loma looked mad vulnerable last night

Hearn: WBC Has NOT Ordered Rematch, Wilder Can Face Joshua

Eddie Hearn, promoter for IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, is not worried about the WBC's recent statement about their unanimous vote to sanction an immediate rematch between WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and challenger Tyson Fury.

Wilder and Fury clashed last Saturday night at Staples Center in Los Angeles, and their fight ended with a controversial twelve round split draw.

Joshua is scheduled to return at Wembley Stadium on April 13.

Hearn explained that a lot of people misread the WBC announcement, which clearly stated that the sanctioning had a unanimous vote to "sanction" the immediate rematch, but they never said anything about "ordering" the rematch.

The WBC announcement was basically nothing more than giving the green light for the rematch - since the winner had to make a mandatory defense against Dominic Breazeale.

"No, I think the wording was everything in that one, sanctioned not ordered. I think what they're saying is they would approve the rematch. Dominic Breazeale is the mandatory, who is supposed to fight the winner, so what they're saying is that they would allow the rematch," Hearn told Sky Sports.

"As far as I see, they haven't ordered it. We'll see. I don't think it really changes much. If Wilder wants to fight Fury, he'll fight Fury. If he wants to be undisputed, he'll fight Joshua. It [unification] can trump anything. I don't know how much that means to Wilder. It means everything to us, means everything to Joshua, but the rematch is a big fight."

If Wilder decides to follow through and face Fury - then Joshua will explore other options, like the winner of the rematch between Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora - which takes place on December 22.

"The AJ-Wilder fight is a huge fight," said Hearn. "AJ against Fury is a huge fight. AJ against Dillian Whyte is a big fight. Dillian Whyte is fighting Chisora on December 22, so we'll see what happens in that one, and anything can happen.

"Last time, we were all talking too much. We've made a decision that there will be no talk on this one."

Wilder-Fury Rematch Talks To Begin Next Week, Says Warren

Frank Warren, the promoter for lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, believes the rematch with WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder will happen “sometime in the spring of 2019.”

The two boxers collided last Saturday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and the contest ended in a controversial twelve round split draw. The judges scored it 115-111 for Wilder, 114-112 for Fury and 113-113 for the draw.

Now the two heavyweights are looking to set the record straight in what is going to be a highly anticipated rematch.

According to Warren, the rematch negotiations will begin in the coming days and he expects the deal to be finalized “sometime in January.”

A few days ago, the World Boxing Council unanimously voted to sanction an immediate rematch between the two super-sized fighters.

Warren is getting right to work on the rematch.

“We will start talks next week,” Warren said to Gareth Davies of The Telegraph. “Tyson Fury has been in camp for virtually a year so we need to give him a break for Christmas. We are pushing hard to have the rematch in the UK. We will look to do the fight sometime in the late spring 2019 and are looking at a stadium if it happens in the UK.

“If we can’t get it here, it may well go to Las Vegas. But we believe Fury is now in the driving seat. He is the No 1 heavyweight in the world. I said whoever won the fight would be the No 1 and in my eyes and those of numerous astute judges, we believe Fury did win the fight.”

After the rematch with Wilder, Warren is going to target a fight between Fury and IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua.

“That’s a huge fight as well. Tyson will be coming for Joshua, and he will have nowhere to hide," Warren said.

Tank ain't a slick boxer though. Tank is a power puncher

If Tank can't KO Loma right now I'm of the opinion Loma outboxes him.

Jack Reiss the ref on the night did a dope interview to some boxing YouTube podcast after, I didn't realise dude was a Firefighter and I think he said he ran a EMS team too...

Exactly. I always ask people who say that "so you are ok with the fight being unfair before it starts?" Always get the same dumb ass look from them when they realize what they said means the fight isn't being fought on an equal playing field.

Broner Coach To Roach: Shut The F*** Up, Carry The Spit Bucket!

Last week an article that was published on BoxingScene.com had a quote from Freddie Roach in which he all but guaranteed that Manny Pacquiao will defeat Adrien Broner when they meet in the ring on January 19th. The fight will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be distributed by Showtime Pay-Per-View.

“Manny will kill Broner,” Roach told ABS-CBN. “You can bet your house on it. Broner tries to fight like (Floyd) Mayweather but he’s nowhere near the skill level. He even uses the shoulder-roll.”

After working with Pacquiao for 16 years, Roach didn't work Pacquiao's corner for his July knockout victory over Lucas Matthysse. He is back with Pacquiao for this fight but in more of an advisory role as the Filipino's longtime friend Buboy Fernandez will continue handling head trainer duties.

Meanwhile the 29-year-old Broner is currently in his second training camp with world class trainer Kevin Cunningham down in South Florida. Cunningham previously guided multi-division champions Cory Spinks and Devon Alexander and also works with Robert Easter Jr, Erickson Lubin and several other fighters.

Broner started slow in his most recent fight against Jessie Vargas but closed the fight strong to earn a draw versus the former two-division champion.

Cunningham wasn't too impressed with Roach's comments, citing the Hall of Fame trainer's reduced role with Pacquiao.

"It’s obvious that Freddie’s not the the trainer that he used to be. Manny has demoted him and promoted his bag boy as head trainer over Freddie. He’s saying Manny’s going to kill AB yet Freddie’s not even in camp with Manny. AB is having a tremendous training camp and he’s preparing to shock the world. Freddie needs to shut the f*** up and carry the spit bucket on January 19th," Cunningham told BoxingScene.com.

Frank Warren: If Hearn Was My Kid - I'd Slap Him Down!

Frank Warren has slammed his promotional rival, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom.

There is no love between the two UK promoters, and there is no shortage of words being exchange in recent years.

Their respective companies will go head to head on December 22 - when Warren's company stages Carl Frampton vs. Josh Warrington on BT Sport Pay-Per-View and ESPN+, while Hearn stages the Dillian Whyte-Dereck Chisora rematch on Sky Sports Box Office and DAZN.

According to Warren, Hearn is fooling everyone in the boxing business. He says Hearn's father, Barry Hearn, is the actual individual who runs and operates the boxing brand of Matchroom.

But Warren's anger is more geared to some of Hearn's statements in the last few months in connection to the heavyweight bout between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.

“I’ve never spoken to Eddie Hearn in my life, but he annoyed me," Warren said to The Times.

“He said the fight between Wilder and Fury would never happen; he said we had only sold 8,000 seats; he said it would be a boring fight.

“Wrong on all counts. Fake news. People need to hear this, and on the record. It’s Eddie Hearn’s father, Barry Hearn, who runs that business.

“The kid just goes off talking rubbish. He has an ego which is awful. If he was my kid, I’d slap him down.”

Wilder Will Add Weight For Fury Rematch; Targets 245 Pounds
By Keith Idec

NEW YORK – Deontay Wilder would like to weigh 245 pounds for his inevitable rematch with Tyson Fury.

The WBC heavyweight champion understands, of course, that adding 30-plus pounds between their title bouts probably isn’t realistic. Wilder still wants to be noticeably heavier than the 212½ pounds he weighed for his 12-round split draw with Fury on December 1 at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Wilder was bothered when he stepped on an unofficial scale the night of their fight and came in at only 209 pounds, roughly 50 fewer than the 6-feet-9 Fury. The 6-feet-7 Wilder hadn’t weighed lower than 209 pounds for a fight since he was 207¼ pounds for his pro debut 10 years ago.

As heavy-handed as he is, the 33-year-old Wilder (40-0-1, 39 KOs) doesn’t want to continue giving away so much weight when he faces big, strong opponents.

“Yeah, we gonna adjust the weight,” Wilder said during a recent gathering with reporters. “We gonna do a lot of things. You know, especially with the weight. Because these guys have out-weighed me the majority of my career. You know, I never worried about weight because I have the power to substitute for it. I have devastating power that these guys don’t have. So I never worried about weight, because I felt like weight is just an image.

“At the end of the day, how many times, over and over again, have guys out-weighed me and they were left on their back? None of them could put me on my back, being so [light] of a fighter. That’ll just tell you everything. These guys can’t put me on the ground, but I can put them on the ground, and I know that.”

Why, then, would Wilder fix what isn’t broken?

“Just because of my team,” Wilder said. “My team want me to do it, and we work as a team. So me and [co-manager] Shelly [Finkel] talked about this and of course I’m gonna do what I wanna do. But I went back and said, ‘You know what? If y’all wanna see certain things, then I’m gonna give it to you.’ I’m never the one’s that just solely sold on what I wanna do. There’s certain things, but we work as a team and we’ve been working for this long and if it’s adjustments to be made, I’m willing to do that, just to see.”

The highest Wilder weighed for any of his 41 professional fights is 229 pounds. He came in at 229 for his second-round knockout of Damon McCreary in September 2012 and his ninth-round knockout of Eric Molina in June 2015.

Wilder realizes it’s “gonna take some time” to move up in weight.

“My goal was always to be 245,” Wilder said. “That’s what my goal has always been. But somebody’s gonna get hurt. If weight brings big-man power, and I already had the power and the speed, somebody gonna get hurt. So if people wanna see me put on weight and someone get hurt, then so be it. But you never wanna see no one like Adonis Stevenson. I’m always thinking about him and I tell people all the time – we risk our lives in the ring. We risk our lives. And I know I have the power to hurt anyone – anyone.”
