this is a whole nother thread we should speak on.As hopeful as this is we still gotta remember people are people and solidarity through race isn't always going to happen. A few weeks ago there was a pretty large thread on twitter where Black women were responding to what it was like having another, usually older, Black woman as a superior or supervisor and the vast majority of them said the experience was negative and they often received negative comments on thigs such as their hair, clothing choices, names etc.... So having Black folks in positions of power doesn't always work out the way we would hope. Especially if the person in charge feels a threat to said power....
this is very real and needs to stop.
this is divisive and does the work of the oppressor by want to be the only one at the top or talking down to others.
whats crazy is that black women are making the most progress in corporate america and on the entrepreneurship side. its crazy the support i see they give each other but i am also aware of the massive amounts of hate they give each other too.
its that we give each other so much hell while fighting the oppressors hell. niggas want to be the accepted one.
so while you are right about my idea.......we also cant complain about the way things are if we are not helping ourselves.
