Graffiti - eyes

Those three have always said that, even down to the fact that they were looked down on by their own people for loving hip hop and the culture. Fat Joe really didn't do his homework.

The narrative is Black Americans invented hip hop with no help from others, in the early 70s

That has been proven

That's not stopping people from trying to debunk that narrative

Listen. We gotta understand world history to fully understand what's going on.

Black Americans are the descendants of slaves, therefore things are taken from us without a second thought. Slaves aren't supposed to have anything to themselves

Puerto Rico was colonized by the Spanish. As we see hip hop Puerto Ricans still have a Spanish colonizer mindset. They can't simply say they were the first guests/students of Hip Hop, they have to claim co-creation to truly identify with the Spanish

England is the Puerto Ricans of Hip Hop. They were the first country to emulate it outside of the US

Early UK Hip Hop was flaming trash. Technically were used EDM/drill type beats, that had no bass and niggas were rapping off beat. I don't mean like E-40 off beat, I mean rapping NOT ON BEAT

How Outsiders influence anything when we had soul train since 71, where every element of Hip Hop was on display weekly on TV?

If a Puerto Rican dude hadn’t took pictures back in the ‘70’s, then there would be no documentation of hip-hop.
