Disney+ Marvel's The Marvels

Ima keep it a bean. I enjoyed this. Like Flash, Venom, or Aquaman. It’s a serviceable comic book movie. Some shit was cringe, some shit was dope. Ms. Marvel killed it. The villain was forgettable. The cat shit was hilarious to me tho. Credit scene finna get shit cracking.

But man this shit is gonna bomb bad. I’ve never been able to cop MCU movie tickets day of, at the theater, opening weekend. This shit was empty.

All well, DOOM was right again.

I was checking the Candyman thread to see how people felt about Nia's other film and @Ironman said Candyman suffered due to studio interference and removed scenes and it seems like it happened to her again lol
 
For the most part, most of the reviews have been reasonable whether the person liked it or not except dude who hates everything Disney and went on an incel-laden rant in his review

I enjoyed it, but I think it would’ve been better as a Ms. Marvel season 2. The power switching concept worked well for me. Most of the fight scenes worked out better than I thought they would.

Wish they coulda fleshed out more with the Carol/Monica relationship thing. Seems like Monica got over her abandonment issues too quick/easy.

I saw people shitting on the plot like they didn’t get what the villains point was, but it seemed fairly obvious to me. They were using the wormholes to steal natural resources from other planets. What was so hard to understand?

The cats… yeah that shit was stupid. Like screaming space goats stupid. They beat that gag to death. They swallow shit then throw it up. Got it.

Kamala Khan and the family stuff, well done.

Teyonnah Parris’ thighs. Yes.

I enjoyed this overall. Didnt blow me away but I didnt feel like I wasted my money on this.

they coulda put that whole singing portion of the movie in the fuckin trash. Felt out of place and corny as fuck. Terrible.
Kamala and her family were the heart of this movie. I was glad to see them get some shine.
I was worried they were gonna overdo it with the gotdamn flerkens...they were reeeeeal close but I wasnt mad at it when it was all said and done.

The hate for the villain seems unwarranted. I didnt think shorty did as bad as they said she did.

Who was Maria Rambeau spos to be in the end credits? I didnt recognize the suit

Its the writing of the villain more than the actress herself
 
I saw this movie today and didn't find anything wrong with it outside of the singing routine. A simple plot that made sense and didn't do too much. I actually enjoyed the brief introduction to the X-Men in the post credit scenes. 7/10.

I think critics and online critics alike are ridiculous with the criticism of this movie. It was kinda better than the first one imo.
