Yeah, it will be kinda hard to compare them. Kilmonger will undoubtedly be a more relateable and realistic villain than Thanos. If that's what makes good villain to you, then Kilmonger will likely be the best for a long time. Thanos is going to be way more over the top and threatening than Kilmonger though. So if you're just looking for a villain against which everyone looks helpless, then it's going to be Thanos. I'll put it like this. Kilmonger was dope, but we all know had everyone just said "Screw tradition. There's no way we're letting this lunatic be king," Kilmonger's story would have ended quickly. When Thanos comes, the idea is supposed to be that no matter what the heroes do, they are losing. To some that might make him a better villain.

Words can't express how much I enjoyed this movie. And they also can't express how bad I'm ready to see it again on the silver screen. This is the rare film where all the hype and critical acclaim is justified. Top 5 MCU movie imo

I know its dumb early for this but i want to see a Killmonger stand alone some time down the line, they dont do many villain focused movies but that would be ill

so watched it again, and yeah its better than the cap movies. It's marvels The Dark Knight when you think about it. They both excel in creating an amazing contained world. Both have quotable villains that stole the movie. both are genre movies that just happen to have superheroes in it (TDK being inspired by movies like Heat and BP by James Bond. There's a LOT of James Bond in BP.) and both touch upon current political topics ( TDK with overreach in spying, BP with isolationism). took over 10 yrs but we finally got a superhero movie to rival TDK and improve on it in some ways.

Thats not even bringing up the cultural influence of BP. Years from now, there might be a black president who took his wife to BP on their first date, like Barrack took Michelle to Do The right Thing.

Also, maybe Chadwick should be James Bond, not Idris.
