I didn't expect this trailer to be much. Honestly, they have to play it much cooler with this one. There was a lot of potential for spoilers with IW, but we didn't know what was happening going into that movie. With Endgame, we already have a state of affairs going into the movie. Pretty much anything they show will be spoiler territory. They can't show anyone coming back, they can't really show the mechanism for bringing people back, they have to be easy about Captain Marvel because of her movie, etc...

Much of that reaction was from nostalgia though. People are free to not be impressed. I think the point being made is that this teaser wasn't meant to impress. It was just released to let everyone know what's on the horizon and to give a release date .
