I signed up for both Cybersecurity Certification Programs. Due to my situation, I'm going through them quick, I think I can knock them both out by end of December, mid January at the latest.

The network defense, hacking, digital forensics ones are going to be beasts, but I'm eager to learn them.

I need to be more committed. I’m in the process of getting a new job soon so I’m waiting on that and still wanna get a few certifications but need to sit down and study
bruh real shit I fell off on my shit as well. My next cert in line to get is my CSM(Certified SCRUM Master). That cert will be a good look for me when I transition in Senior level IT Project Management. Current role is Sr Program Manager and it's great but I neeeeeeddds bigger paper lol

In the studying that I have done, they have posted links to news articles. In the simply cyber youtube channel, The content creator goes over new articles.. I am putting 2 and 2 together, If you regularly read up on major cyber security situations, you'll be good going forward in the industry

How’s everyone doing with these courses? I’m in the middle of the introduction to cybersecurity. Kinda dry but there’s still enough to keep me invested.

I am on the last module of the introduction of cybersecurity. I've learned so far it isn't just technical, you got to understand the operations side as well. Much more discussion encouraged than with the Google certification program

Enrolled in the cybersecurity course. Will probably do the ethical hacker right after as well.

Ethical hacking is actually fun to me. Doing the shit in the wild and seeing the exploits work will have you wanting to do it more often (you shouldn't... but I'm jussayin)

Apparently Verizon has a certification program as well. I just signed up, hopefully I get in

I have been doing this for the past 3 weeks. I signed up for a beginner IT course, anything entry level. The professors/ teachers have thick Spanish accents but I’m okay with it. Taking weekly test too, I usually do the courses Sun - Tuesday.

Studying for A+ now watching Professor Messer videos

Guys that have passed A+, Network+ and Sec+ and gone on to have a career in cyber security. What’s the best studying method you guys would recommend. Hope it’s not too much to ask

Appreciate any help
I have Professor Messer link also and I write down and watch the videos weekly after the Verizon courses. I do think I am doing to much at once, it kind of feels like AT first I was learning two different things. But now I see they are teaching the same things just at different times. I could learn about hardware with Professors Messer first and come across Hardware later with Verizon online courses.

Where do you guys actually take the CERTIFICATION A+ test? I would like to take it in February or March.

Sometimes my YouTube algorithm switches to Certification A+ test and most took it in 2 months. 3 to 4 months is the average, but I want to get into something around February, if possible

Kinda re routed

Was taking the A+ - did first exam but get to do second (I’m ready and about to book it now)

But in the meantime all the stuff I learnt within A+ has helped me go through the Google Cybersecurity course really quickly. I’m about 60% through it now.

Still gonna do A+(especially since I’ve completed half the certification already) and Network+ but not sure how important Network+ will be once I’ve gotten the Google and Security+ certification.

Appreciate it bro. What field do you work in?

Was doing healthcare IT but was laid off a few months ago

Thinking about getting certifications the way you are. Getting the A+, azure and security+. Trying to do all that next year and get a help desk job now
