I'm late to this, but set up everything you owe to automatically come out. If you have credit cards, make sure you pay on time and don't use as much as your limit, so if you have a $2,000 limit, don't actually use that, just use it for what you need to use it for. It also looks good to have different kinds of accounts. I only have student loan accounts and just adding a credit card would boost my score. Or adding an auto loan or home loan, but don't do too much cause that can affect you negatively. Really just make sure you pay everything on time. That's the main thing.Nah, my credit is bad. It's not awful but I should've listened to my mommy. I'm bad with bills and money.

No is not really the case. You own the house and have the deed. They have rights if you default but they don't own the house.Question to current owners:
Will I have the deed while on mortgage? Technically until the house is paid off the mortgage bank owns the house right?

Not sure exactly. Is it called a warranty deed or deed of trust?
I will ask for a copy and see. I know it has the words deed on it.Is it called a warranty deed or deed of trust?

It is but you won't be getting more space, a nicer home, or better neighborhoodsdo not work in BX. just thought it'd be cheaper than BK.

Thinking about a condo. We don't like yard works either and condos safe during hurricanes. But it doesn't appreciate or hold value as well as a single house, not to mention the exuberant HOA fee. Yuck!
