I agree 100% with what you have said but not being able to escape the confines of our mind is something different. But you can control what you seek out.
So if you seek to learn more or gain more knowledge you are giving yourself more options. Am I right?
But if you don't seek mental growth then it's your own fault that mental contraints is your warden.
Nvm I'm high rnIf free will is the ability to literally do anything that bends the laws of nature then of course it doesnt exist its impossible.
But we do have free will of choice, not of consequence.
You have Choices.I agree 100% with what you have said but not being able to escape the confines of our mind is something different.
For example, we can never see ourselves from someone else's eyes because we cant put our mind in their mind whilst still retaining our mind so as to see what they see.
Ate we not presently bending the laws of nature? If free will is the ability to literally do anything that bends the laws of nature then of course it doesnt exist its impossible.

Im talking about shit like "i wanna flap my arms and fly up in the sky right this second"Ate we not presently bending the laws of nature?
Again I agree with you but you are missing my point. I guess the closest we could get to being free from the confines of our mind is to be in a "buddha" medatative state where you are unaware of even your own mind, but alas you must return to your mental jail when out of that state. You have Choices.
You can be
1 what you think you need to be
2 be what you think others want you to be.
3 be who you think you want to be.
It's not too often a person is just themselves .
With the 3 options...those are all influenced from else where or just self awareness.
Most people don't think that deeply and get trapped in their head because they don't ask the right questions to themselves.
This is the reason critical thinking is a thing if the past and more people become sheep being told what to think.
Nah I misunderstood what he said and was off on some shit that didn't match.Best time to talk about this.
I need some dmt.
We bent some laws but not all.Im talking about shit like "i wanna flap my arms and fly up in the sky right this second"
and still havent truly bent the one that matters. Some universal rules exist and we are bound by them. We may get closer to putting them off but if you asked anyone if they would choose life over death a majority would choose life. That isn't really a choice and comes down to you own idea of what free will is. If it's the literal definition then no we do not, but if it's just an interpretation based on the things we can control then I can see your point. We bent some laws but not all.

What we think comes from what's already there tho. I could just be throwing shit at the wall rn, but I'm at a point where I'm questioning if the thoughts I have are actually my own. What philosophy is actually mine vs what was shaped by society/my environment/my peers/my family/history.those opportunities always exist for either person.....but you choose which path to take based on what you think of yourself.
Imma get at this tomorrow...What we think comes from what's already there tho. What philosophy is actually mine vs what was shaped by society/my environment/my peers/my family/history.
Like for example I just picked up a second job a while ago. I dont mind the actual work and the money is decent, but I'm always tired and I ain't had a social life since before the holidays. The reason I did that was because, for whatever reason, I felt like I needed more money. It was automatic. Now I'm like, do I really need this money or am I chasing some idea that says i shouldnt be happy unless I have x amount of money in the bank?
And I see this idea showing up in other places too. Like the guy that didn't have a dad growing up...he either ends up repeating it when he has his own kids or he goes hard and is crazy present. You either do what's there or you do the opposite. 2 choices. Lol.

That first part read like every bad guy in the movies that wants to kill everybody to free them. I concede that I do not know everything about death, especially not the afterlife or lack thereof. The way our bodies are programmed to react to danger tells me that in the grand scheme of things even your body (your vehicle through life) doesn't want death either. I do think it is healthy to questions most things, but speaking in the only I way I know how as a physical in the flesh human I know that there limitations placed on your body(by whom I am not sure). Can we go beyond that limit of course, but then you go down the rabbit hole of why the limits were placed in the first place. I believe the moment we beat/cheat death we will cease being human. Most choose death because they are unaware of what it is.
We are told heaven and hell...some don't know which they going to and assume its the end.
But what if it was the beginning? The beginning of true freedom because we were constrained by the physical limitations of human form. And death being the freeing of our energy or consciousness?
Choice is about being educated enough to make a proper decision.
So how how we know we didn't bend it yet? Cause we don't see zombies?
Or are we currently trying to bend it?
I read up on two....in the present and in the past.
We will be their soon.
I see people start to get there and end up choosing to go along with what's expected tho. That is the greatest place to be in life.
As long as we cling to truth. It's a lonely sometimes dark and shadowy path but we must have faith that truth will guide us.I see people start to get there and end up choosing to go along with what's expected tho.
I pray I'm able to shake something up on the other side
