Colin Kapernick Protest

Make sense in what my previous post stated about how things may change for some when the problem shows up at your front door.

Just like I nor most of us that post don't know Trayvon Martin or any other black person that are being killed about police or ones that act like a police, shouldn't care about that either cuz we don't know'em.

I'm sure he didn't know either of them and his whole stance is on police brutality

Let me just ask one question to those who still support the league.

If this was your dad/brother/son/ let's say mama/wife that sat down and they are now are being treated like Kap, Would you still watch the NFL?

Yes or No. And we all agree to disagree.
I'd give him his props for standing his ground and watch anyway....

I didn't start watching football cuz he started playing, and I ain't gonna stop watching cuz he ain't....

I ain't flaky like that. I watch cuz I wanna watch. I'd give him his props. Tell him to keep up the good work. Explain to him he can make more of a difference outside the league. Keep him focused and let him know that the nfl ain't got shit to do with what he feel he's standing for. I'd encourage dude, and tell him to not let this slow him up or stop him.

And I'd still watch my games on Sunday.....

ok, i see the NAACP is getting involved

now i have an issue with this

1) why now?

2) his UNION should be the ones advocating on his behalf which is why the NFL is in the shape it is. Their union continues to let shit fly while the owners get richer and richer

3) there are more pressing issues compared to one out of work black qb

Long as I got my football

Still don't understand why Kap took a kneel? and why ppl should boycott that shit

he a 49er fan "this year"...so, this is as good as a reason for him to not watch

Breh

If a company/organization/job shut someone up for speaking up for something that is wrong, something that can affect you and your family, you still supporting that company/business?

his agent and the contract offers he passed on

If you can, would you post links or articles that state that Kap passed on this. This is the first time I've heard this.

I actually heard Kap would have taken a backup role so how does one that wants a backup job pass up on offers?

i told you, i agree with you, but you choosing to not watch will not evoke any change

the NFLPA should be the ones protesting. That's HIS union. Im not saying you shouldnt be involved in some other showing of a protest, but not watching football aint gon do nothing b/c you and the like minded dont represent the demo that the NFL caters to

he was never fired bruh, he opted out of his last year, and chose to make more money.....

him and his agent thought they could make more money on the free agent market....

dude could very easily still be playing this season had he not made that choice...

niggaz ain't boycotting cu he got fired... niggaz boycotting cuz he made a mistake on what he thoguht his worth was..

The league was notified in a letter sent to all teams by Kaepernick's representation, Select Sports Group. Thursday is the first day Kaepernick can opt out, and he has until the new league year begins March 9 to do it.

Kaepernick's contract was originally supposed to keep him with the Niners through 2020, but the team worked with the 29-year-old to revamp it before he reclaimed the starting job in October.

As part of the deal's reconfiguration, Kaepernick traded $14.5 million in injury guarantees during the 2017 season for the opportunity to opt out of the deal early. His decision saves the Niners his $14.5 million base salary in 2017 though he will still count nearly $2.5 million in dead money for the remainder of hi
