Black people that we dont famously know do own alot of companies both in majority and minority ownership. They just dont broadcast it and dont target the black consumer specifically. It can pigeonhole sales, and Investments. Alot of black entrepreneurs use white people as the face of their business cause it plays better in business in America.
Think about all the famous people that we do know that own loads of fast food joints, strip malls, small motels, book publishers and shit like that. Stuff that's just there for any consumer, no matter their race.
When it comes to the black consumer, either you're black and want to explore that niche in sales, or you a wealthy entrepreneur that wants to target that demographic. But the black consumer base is fickle with product when it knows the owner of the product is black.
As much as I dont fuck with Jordan's and Yeezys, black folks are critical of both of those brands far more than they are of Gucci, and DC and Balenciaga. Dont even question the cost of those clothing, and the fact that they estically look horrible.

i think @Hellczar already mentioned it but we live in a world where there are buyers and sellers. Not every single person can be a seller. Not every single person can work for themselves. That takes a lot of discipline and can be rewarding and frustrating at the same time.

how can i be ok seeing all these people getting money while only a few of us are crawling up at a time?
and with that money they are creating communities within a community.
and once the community is there......they demand to be respected by the others.

my thing is, im going to use my current job to fund my side shit. I'm gonna use the health and dental i get for pennies on the dollar through my job compared to what i would pay for that if i went into business for myself.
i'm going to use my consistent biweekly paychecks instead of relying on income that could change as often as the weather
in other words, you have to start from somewhere. If there ever comes a time where i could focus 100% on my side gig, i MIGHT cross that bridge when i get there.

black people owning their own businesses allow for us to not rely on the oppressor.
our money should stay within the community. our money moving inside our community will allow us to build it up and expand into other businesses as the demand comes for new shit. we can have control over our own schooling and the curriculum. we can have our own policing and lawmakers for our community. Our own banks to get our own loans from.....no more predatory shit.
we can actually control who does what inside of it to and large extent.
once all that and other things are out of an oppressors hands.......what can they do?
we control our own shit.
no gentrification...no being treated like shit in your community. our own shit based on what we like and not what we are told we are supposed to like.

In essence I think this whole brand of capitalism altogether. But I’m not gonna shot on people living in it. It has its benefits and drawback and I ain’t lived under any other economic system. But this system ain’t fostering unity as we can see by this thread. I rather we not even have to wake up and worry about capital I rather not worry if med bills and insurance will cause me to go broke or if paying somebody 15 an hour is going to ruin a small business. Niggas in Canada ain’t worried bout health care moms in Norway ain’t worried about going back to work after 8 weeks with a newborn. Daycare being high as fuck.
And I get it maybe if we all worked together and made community more functional we could alleviate a lot of these issues.
I want my government ideally to do what they tax me for and more. No that ain’t simple or easy and maybe the US is too big for a wide social net. But when we view a wide social net as a way to be lazy we just gonna keep doing the same shit leaving somebody exploited. I feel we measure ourselves by the standards of outsiders when we could easily make our own.
