Black People Don't Own Sh*t!!

The reality is niggaz lazy with proper business etiquette.

They want support out of obligation instead of putting the work in.

White folk forever feel superior and entitled cuz they build their business pedigree in a field with other business savvy business minded white boys....

Where as most niggaz just be on some opportunistic "my peoples gonna support" mindset.... But you really gotta lay that ground work and build your business right.

There are examples.... But they are rare.
We need more

Ofc it partially resources but it's also niggas just don't support niggas.

For example, I've asked mfs why don't they have tidal but pay for apple, spotify, etc and they always have a wack ass excuse like "well i already got a bunch of playlists so idk if i could start over" or some dumb shit like that. Niggas don't support niggas.

There's a chinatown in every city, they make their money from non chinese mfs and spend it all within their community. Pretty much every hair and nail spot for black women are ran by asians.

We're the only dumb mfs giving everybody else our bread, shit's sad af.
You're oversimplifying the issue. There's more to a business than telling someone "this is buy us, for us" you have to capital to market that on a mass scale. There's a black-owned business that specializes in male grooming iirc, they have quality products yet they lack the exposure of having their products shown in ads on tv, billboards, the internet, radio etc. They're literally relying on word of mouth, I've only ever seen them discussed on forums (not even general social media like twitter, ig, and fb) that have a majority black userbase. While a company like Gilette has massive amounts of resources dedicated just to marketing, they're everywhere and have even mastered using controversy (that masculinity ad made mf salty but it kept Gilette's name out there) to keep their name in the mind of the public.

While asians have cornered the market on the female hair products in the black community I doubt they're the ones actually grooming black women's hair. Again, I don't think it's that simple, same for black men, most barbershops where I come from are all black-owned.

As an interesting aside, black hollywood never has problems getting people in seats.....almost like capital and marketing are a big deal....

I think when we say what niggaz won't do it's just a subconscious projection of ourselves that only reinforces and perpetuates the problem instead of solutions.

If you would do it, you can't say what niggaz won't do because YOU would do it.

I can't say niggaz ain't down if I'm down.

But on the other hand if I'm NOT down to put in work I can easily say what niggaz won't do cuz I'm really just talking about myself.

Now I'm not saying that YOU don't support Black owned business but I AM saying that "what niggaz ain't gonna do" talk is a part of the problem.

Black Americans are too inclusive

I'ma take this as a sign.

Recently I was working on a logo or a symbol we could use for Black owned and operated businesses.

The idea is to have one of these symbols in the window/website/social media page of local our Black owned, Black operated businesses or programs. Now it's not saying that these companies only hire Black people but it is saying that this business makes a conscious effort to create opportunities and hire Black people and POC.

So the idea is B.O.B.O businesses - Black Owned Black Operated

Every B.O.B.O. business who supports this would get highlighted and put on the international rolodex of Black owned and operated businesses.

These are just prototypes/ rough drafts but y'all get the idea...

What y'all think?

Would you support this?

Should we support this?

Props for this. I like it.

But you got every excuse why you dont wanna get the smack URL app...

Must be two sides

When tidal library gets as robust as Google music, I'll gladly make the switch. I only have room for one service

As far as rap genius, if y'all wanna start a site dissecting lyrics to songs, have at it.

I know that's how they started, now they getting the lyrics from the artists themselves. Not all of them I imagine but that takes a long ass time to do

The best thing we can do is right here. If you have any kinda presence on social media, then cross promote with Goldie. Both brands can prosper at the same time. The bigger one of y'all get, the bigger the other one gets.

If you selling something, cross promote with him to give some kinda code away to get a percent off the order for first time customers or something.

Once my shit gets rolling, that's what I'll be doing

That's another bogus excuse. Tidal has damn near every album I've ever searched for lol Let's say they're missing 5 albums you searched for and couldn't find, is that really a good enough reason to continue supporting the white version of something that's practically the same thing?

Look @ AP's post. I imagined that? It has nothing to do with subconscious projections, it's what i witnessed and experienced.

Is racism real or is it your subconscious projections?

There's no excuse for asians to be running a market aimed at black women, period. That's our fault.

Of course capital plays a part, but a lot of people use bullshit excuses on why they don't support black businesses and it's been proven in this thread.
