Are you still listening to R. Kelly?

i mean tbh idc what yall do in your homes. yall arent the highest quality of men so im not surprised that yall are actively and proudly playing r kelly

that man hardly gets played on the radio. i never hear about him in mass media and the general consensus is that nigga is a fucking creep who’ll most likely die in prison right along with cosby and every other Black abuser yall salivate over

so “meh”

Yooooo. I never noticed before, you be saying some shit ha ha....i can't with you...lol

R. Kelly is undeniably the greatest r&b artist of a generation and a musical genius. Also happens the be a horrible person.

He’s certainly not the first and won’t be the last.

How do we 100% for a fact know his sexual songs were about fuckin children. One could assume “my minds telling me no, but my body’s telling me yes” could definitely be about a underage chick because of his past but how do we realllllly know that’s what he was singing about?

Edit: let me be perfectly clear, I don’t condone any of the sick shit he has done.

If you gotta ask "Is this song about fucking a child" that should be reason enough to feel weird about trying to bump that for enjoyment let alone having it be background music for a person's own sex life

Got it.

I don’t ask that though.

R. Kelly aside you really shouldn't base your own morality on white people's lack of it
Only a slave minded negro like you would automatically assume that white folks have a sense of morality in the first place

To everyone saying "listening to xxxx’s music is supporting them", I gots questions. TONS of them.

You or someone you know still bang to Dr. Dre's music, right...even after Dee Barnes and Michel'le came out and told you he beat their asses on the regular. If you went to see "Straight Outta Compton", you know you supported Dre (cause he definitely got a check for that movie), right? Hypocrite.

You still listen to the Temptations, right? You know David Ruffin damn near beat a tumor into Tammy Terrell, tho. You support them and play them at black cookouts knowing the fellow Temps knew too, right? Hypocrite.

Your parents love Miles Davis, don't they? Umm...didn't Miles cheat on and beat like three of his wives and like six of his girlfriends? Hypocrite.

Who supported (and still supports) knowingly the coke-addicted folk like Whitney, The Isleys, James Brown, compulsive gamblers (and asshole extraordinaire) like your basketball god Jordan, or porn-addicted cats like ya boy Kirk Franklin....yeah. EXACTLY.

I could go on and On, and ON...but you get the point. However, just in case you didn't, here it is:

You don't get to impose your MANUFACTURED MORALITY on the rest of us that chose art over life, just cause the TV told you to get outraged, especially when - once again - you KNEW how this Nasty-ass Nate named Robert moved around with that pedo shit for seemingly DECADES.

A group of wise men once told the chosen group of us almost 100 years ago that "Music is a universal language, and truly the greatest of the arts." So, I intend to enjoy as much art on this planet as I can, regardless of how the actual artists themselves act outside of the booth.

Besides, people have bought art from much worse people in humanity.

John Wayne Gacy STILL has art selling on the innanets to this very day. I'm sure people weren't supporting his murder spree of innocent boys and young men.

People collect Nazi art all the time. I don't consider those people (some of them) Hilter sympathizers or Holocaust deniers, either.

Point: NO one here has a clean life, and all of us are in agreement that Robert should have been LOCKED UP for his crimes....YEARS ago. If you wanna hate him. Fine. If you never want to listen to any song he made or makes ever again, that's cool too. You have that right.

But all that "you're just an enabler" shit....man, please. You can get THAT baboon shit 10000% the fuck outta here.

What are you, levitating over the rest of us? Every artist you EVER liked or like now is clean as a bean?

STOP it, fam. Grow up. And keep your manufactured morality over there with the rest of the 'holier than thou's.

Fuckin hypocrites.

What's holier than thou about a person saying they don't wanna listen to music about sex where they gotta question if it's about a child or not? If you can do that cool. More power to you. If somebody else doesn't then that's not some attempt at showing superior morality. The fact that so many of you niggas get so defensive and mad at the idea that some people don't wanna listen to R. Kelly is weird as fuck.

Also comparing drug use, which is self harming, vs someone who was actively abusing people both physically and mentally is a wild defense to make. You could've just kept it at you still enjoy the music. But you literally compared someone doing coke to someone having sex with children. Those two things really on the same level to you? Maybe the issue isn't people's manufactured morality, as if there's any other kind, and your lack of it to even think Whitney Houston having a drug addiction is comparable to a man who we know for a fact was not only having sex with underage girls but writing songs about it.

Y'all knew this shit was happening 20 years ago and was still playing his music.

This is another point that doesn't make sense because a large part of the people who currently started this newest wave of anti R. Kelly sentiments aren't people.who grew up on his music. They're mainly people in their mid to late 20s who didn't grow up with the same attachment to his music as the people in their mid to late 30s and 40s who are his strongest defenders.

Only a slave minded negro like you would automatically assume that white folks have a sense of morality in the first place

I don't assume they do. Which is why I don't say things like "I'll stop doing *insert thing here* when white people stop doing *insert thing here*". What I do or don't do takes no consideration into what white people do at all.

Bruh. It is

too many ppl nowadays ride waves.

how many ppl was checking for nipsey before he passed. Very few. It was the wave.

fir anyone to say....I didn’t know kelp did this much should be looked at funny.....because he already showed it. So what was the purpose of the doc and why wasn’t this information given to the police first?

what happened after seeing the doc made police arrest him? So during the production and filming he was allowed to do whatever?
no police in sight until after?

The public outrage? Over an already know pedo?

that don’t seem weird?

Nipsey had people paying $100 for his album. Plenty of people were checking for him before he died.

1) Read the last thing I said. You can cancel Kels all you want, just don't force that shit on others.

2) Whitney wasn't the only person I brought up. I also brought up known women beaters such as David Ruffin, Miles Davis, and Dr. Dre. I could've brought up Big Pun too, if I wanted. What then?

3) Drug abuse effects a whole family, and Whitney was no different. Word - and RIP - to Bobbi Kristina.
