Real talk, I'm almost of the mind that benevolent dictator would be far better than a democratic system. The only problem is a person that you could give that kinda power to without them becoming corrupt is like a needle in a haystack. Hell, a lot of the dumbass Trump fans were basically willing to make him a dictator, so a lot of these people want that anyway.

Facts. On top of that, our two parties are useless. It's not like we have to groups that have different plausible ways of solving problems. They basically differ on social and relatively trivial matters, but when it comes to the bigger issues, they are both comfortable not getting anything done. Right now the big issues in the country are the economic divide, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and ending wars. The Reps don't want to solve any of those problems. The Dems say they want to solve them, but never really fight hard enough to do so. In the end nothing gets done, so what's the point of having two parties if neither are going to do what's necessary to improve life for the people.
