Active shooter at Texas Robb Elementary school with 19 kids and 2 Adults dead, 18 year old shooter killed

I think the difference is I don't want to call gang beef or niggas squabblin' as a "mass shooting", 'cause it ain't got the same intent. A Nigga Moment ain't the same as Sandy Hook.
Exactly. There is a huge difference in intent. With gang beefs, etc., those can be largely avoided if you stay out of certain areas and if you’re not living that life. These other mass shootings anybody can get it. It’s largely unavoidable because the scenes do not typically elicit such violence.

They are saying there needs to be a distinction between some idiot randomly walking into a school a shooting random kids and Lil Pookie seeing his lifelong opps and letting them have it

Lil Pookie will just throw bullets in the enemy's direction and usually hits everyone BUT who he was shooting at.

Funny 'cause I said that in another thread earlier this year and got jumped for it.

I don't see why we have to distinguish between them. The problem behind both is that it's too easy for guns to get into the hands of people who shouldn't have them.

Every time I see someone on here put that it, it reads to me like "Stop lumping our (black people's) gun crime in with their (white people)." At the end of the day, it doesn't fucking matter. There are too many guys in America and too many psychotic assholes with access to them.

Each need different solutions though. If it’s gang beef, etc., most of that is done with guns purchased illegally or ghost guns. That requires a different gun control solution than mass shooters of random innocents who get their guns legally.

In addition to gun control, addressing mental health is a top priority for those shooters, whereas beef type shootings should focus more so on opportunities for those kids and dismantling the systematic barriers to their success.

Two totally different root causes and therefore two totally different solutions. Gun advocates conflate the two in an effort to prove that gun control won’t work.

I'd agree that gang violence and mass shootings have different root causes, but the gun issue isn't as different as you think. Some mass shooters get their guns legally. Others steal them or buy them illegally. Some gang members get their guns illegally, some of them travel to places with lax gun laws and buy them from trade shows and gun shows. It's true that different measures will have different impacts on different scenarios, but the point is, a comprehensive package of measures will help no matter what type of gun violence you're talking about.
