Active shooter at Texas Robb Elementary school with 19 kids and 2 Adults dead, 18 year old shooter killed

Was watching This Week and George floated the idea of showing the unedited pics of the children’s bodies to show just how brutal these attacks are. I’m assuming to change the hearts of people who are against tougher gun control.

I think visuals can be powerful, like when people started turning against the Vietnam war after images started coming back, especially those where the US was murdering civilians. I’m not so sure about using that in this case though. Not against it, just on the fence.

Interesting.

Pix of dead kids tho? I cant get jiggy w dat shit.

But look at what emmitt till's mother did. Sum times u gotta show the world the horror to make it real for ppl.

Just read this:

"...Investigators believe one of the three killed was involved in "a physical altercation" with another man, and those two began firing at each other, with both struck by gunfire and one killed, Outlaw said..."

Sounds like less of a "mass shooting" and more "nigga moment".

These fuckin pigs have gone full fascist now trying to cover up their own fuck-ups. Threatening to arrest journalists? WORD??

Where's the Justice Department?

Yeah, I do wish they would delineate mass shootings of random innocents from those where it’s simple beefs or gang related activity. I would bet your stat showing that hand guns are used the most in mass shootings of random innocents would show different on the former.

Not trying to argue, just my opinion.

I usually fucks with dude, but not on this one. I came up with full time cops (plural) assigned to my high school; everyone in Detroit did and this was the late 80's. They patrolled the halls to enforce school rules (I got caught up by one three times in one day for having a walkman), were called out to any incident (I got escorted out of class by the chick when I got in an argument with one of my teachers), and they could arrest and book you on charges (happened to a cat that actually came to blows with a teacher). And they were both armed just as any other cop on the beat.

We had that every single day in school. As I said earlier in this thread, that's the experience of Black kids growing up in Detroit. Cross 8 mile and them white suburban kids didn't have that in their schools. So it's cool for us, but not for them white kids and that's still the attitude YT has to this very day which is why John Oliver spouts off about it right now.

Seems like you just read the twitter headline, didnt watch the video and instantly disagreed with it. And your reasoning for not agreeing with him was because when you were growing up, you had cops in your mostly black inner city school and the mostly white schools in the suburbs didn't.

You dont challenge any of his reasoning for whether this is good or bad. It was just on some 'I had to go through with it, so you gotta go through with it' reasoning.

You have a point of view very centric to how you grew up and where you live now. I would think even you wouldn’t want the majority of kids to come up like you did, just as I wouldn’t want kids to come up like I did.

So now we're back at what I said earlier: This is a mental health issue, not a gun issue.

The government defunded mental health institutions in the 80's and dumped all these patients on the street. Big pharma got the one natural, side effect free substance that had been used successfully for depression banned from the market (L-Tryptophan) and then introduced Prozac and a host of other antidepressants, all of which have suicidal thoughts as a side effect. We're now prescribing these thing at a high ass rate to younger and younger people and the effects of it appear to be showing.
