Welcome To aBlackWeb

Active shooter at Texas Robb Elementary school with 19 kids and 2 Adults dead, 18 year old shooter killed

Folks dont gotta give up their guns btw.

Just ban the purchase of new semi automatic weapons. Start there. Or at the very least, make it very hard.

Facts but the Supreme Court will strike anything like this down within 48 hrs

The window to achieve this was after Sandy Hook and we missed it

The problem with america is that we think we finished the job by seeing small signs of progress. Covid numbers drop just a lil bit then we get rid of mandates. Numbers inevitably go back up.

Assault weapons ban expires because we thought we didnt need it anymore. Mass shootings go up.

Not even gon get into anything that has to do with racism.

This country dont keep its foot on the neck of shit then we (not us but you know...) wana act shocked when it gets outa control. This is the result of having to constantly keep relitigating shit that shoulda been nipped in the bud decades ago.

How to say we fucked up without saying we fucked up

They shouldnt be allowed to not fuckin cooperate. By not cooperating that should violate their terms of fuckin employment and they should be fired immediately with no gotdamn retirement benefits to fall back on

so you’re saying basically…to ban new purchases of guns? Again, handguns would be included in that. Lets walk down that path. The minute they were to announce the enforced ban date, people would FLOOD gun stores and buy up EVERYTHING. Then after the ban is in effect, people would sell them on the blark market for ridiculous prices.

So yeah no, not gonna happen in America.

You mentioned making it really hard to get a gun. I’m all for making it harder to get a gun if that’s what it takes. Chicago, California & New York have the strictest gun laws in the country and we see everyday how even with the toughest gun laws, guns end up in the wrong hands EVERYDAY.

the only thing that can stop something like this from happening again in America is to:

ban ALL semi-automatic firearms (rifles & handguns)

and that’s just not happening. Not in this lifetime or the next. People would rather become overnight felons than give up their guns. And if you ban guns, police and criminals will be the only ones who have them.

America is fucked when it comes to guns. It’s TOO late.

Ban all semi automatics? Lmao.

so you want folks to load each bullet at a time?

Remember y’all white surpremcy is worldwide.

Even y’all so called peaceful European nations got soldiers all over imposing their ideals across the globe.

And making sure non-whites in their country have no power.

California Has America’s Toughest Gun Laws, and They Work

Overall, what could the rest of the country learn from California?

The lower the prevalence of ownership, the lower the rate of firearm violence — that’s been one of the most robust research findings for decades. Rates of gun ownership are lower here, in part because of this bundle of state measures. In the United States overall, something like 25 percent to 30 percent of individuals own guns. In California, it’s about 15 percent to 18 percent.

More police isn't the answer after Texas shooting, experts say

“The research is clear that more police and hardening schools doesn’t work,” said Patrick Bresette, executive director of the Children’s Defense Fund of Texas. “The millions and millions of dollars we’re spending on more law enforcement is at the cost of more effective ways to help kids; to provide mental health support, to identify someone who might be at risk of some sort of bad behavior, and to have a holistic response in schools. It’s following the evidence. There are ways to prevent this that we’re not investing in.”

Experts say ramping up police presence at schools will disproportionately impact Black and Latino students. The University at Albany and RAND study also found that school officers’ presence leads to more suspensions, expulsions, police referrals, chronic absences and arrests for students, and Black students are two times more likely than whites to experience these consequences.

That is an interesting perspective. Although, I think it's less that most of us don't want to follow through and more that there is a regressive group in our nation that opposes pretty much any positive change. They are the reason we implement such small half measures in the first place. If not for them we would have had stronger pandemic mandates, weapons bans, and antiracism policies from the start.
