He never was a franchise player. A team thought he was and they shipped him out and had more successful season when he didn’t play and when he got traded.

You do know a franchise player is a player a team builds around right, it has nothing to do with how much success they had. Zion is your franchise player and he hasn't been to the postseason but he's still the franchise player
