This requires AD frail ass to be the clear cut best player for the Lakers which he has shown so far he can’t do because of his health

Even when healthy though there’s been instances they have relied on a 36 year old to have them win games

Put AD on the Kawhi Toronto protocol and they good.

Alot of teams gonna have to look at what toronto did with Kawhi and learn from it.

The NBA also has realize there are certain players that cant play 82 games and let them live. AD, Kawhi, Zion, KP etc. List goes on and on. Cant risk a talent like AD just cause we want him to play 82 games.

And I dont have the answer to fix it. Yes resting players hurts the league. But also, certain players cant play 82 games.

Idk how to balance it. Silver better get to work.

Three things:

Knowing AD he’ll still get hurt in the games he plays

Can the lakers afford to not play AD in every game and put more on a guy that’s 37 next season? It’s not like they have ever shown that the supporting cast is good enough to not need AD at times

Raptors not the first team to load manage like that but I feel you
